- Irina IssakovaNovember 13, 2016Black garlic is not as good as it sounds. I got the Miso ramen and it was very good. The pork was delicious and rich. The soft boiled egg was also delicious. The broth was too salty.
- Nikola NinkovicAugust 28, 2017Shoyu ramen was really good here. 2 huge slices of meat, with a divine egg, and beautiful greens. Really good. Service is nice, and they give away free stickers!!!
- Lisa DinoMay 28, 2016Best ramen in SF so far! The broth is rich and full of flavour. They use the correct noodles!!! (In my opinion only thinner noodles is how ramen should be made) and go to the restroom ;)
- Chloe Lucas-WalshNovember 8, 2015This place is so good. The Tonkotsu ramen served on Tuesday is the best I have ever had. Really great vibe. Servers and really friendly! Fried tofu and the karrage is SO good too!
- Ryan BiegaAugust 2, 2013They serve curry at lunch and ramen for dinner. I had the vegetable curry today because they had run out of pork by 1:30. They use ramen broth as the base for the curry. Amazing food and service!
- Jessie SSeptember 11, 2017Wholly Moley! The BEST ramen I've had in my entire life. Fresh, the egg was perfectly cooked, the broth was so rich and delightful. Service was exceptional and the seaweed salad was lovely.
- Sarah OSeptember 30, 2014I especially love coming here because they have karaage. Ask for the "ramen of the day". I like to get an extra egg when I am feeling dangerous.
- jonathan gettingerMay 28, 2014The steaming vegan miso ramen served in generous bowls at Ken Ken Ramen is the ultimate comfort food: it’s salty, rich, and comes loaded with perfectly seasoned vegetables.
- Tim HainesDecember 17, 2015The shoyu tonkatsu ramen changed my life. Beware, the special pork bone broth is only available Tuesday's and Wednesday's.
- Andrew CApril 22, 2014Get a bottle of sake and the spicy ramen, be sure your ramen comes with an egg. They cook their eggs to perfection, with melt in your mouth toke but solid outside.
- Add extra veggies to your ramen to get greens, bean sprouts, and a nice slice of roasted kabocha squash. You can eat the skin on the squash!
- The special tan tan men ramen (chili pork mince & miso broth) is worth coming very early for on Wed-Sun. Usually sells out by 7:30pm.
- m dNovember 20, 2015Try Yuzu-shio! Which is kind of popular flavor in Japan. It is nice that I can have it here in sf.
- Shoyu-Tonkotsu ramen on Tuesday and Wednesday are totally legit. One of the best in the Bay. The Flavors on the other days can improve.
- ChristianaMay 13, 2017I'm a classic tonkatsu person but they don't serve it on Sundays so I ended up trying Yuzu ramen and it was amazing.
- Jimmy HookerAugust 7, 2014The first restaurant quality ramen I had was from here, and their soft boiled eggs blew my mind. The eggs, good god, so great.
- Kris ConcepcionMarch 20, 2015Get here on tonkatsu ramen Tuesday's and Wednesday's. You will not regret it.
- Holger LüdorfApril 5, 2013Miso Ramen is rich. Double eggs is a must. The homage pickles are awesome, too.
- Maja PetkovicNovember 28, 2014Ramen, ramen, ramen..my favourite is classical sushi ramen. There is usually a waiting list, but is it worth it.
- Order a side of extra veggies for your ramen to split with a friend cause they give you tons.
- Freaking amazing jaja men. If it's available as a special, grab it. The tonkotsu is best for those who prefer milder flavors.
- jeremie gerhardtMarch 28, 2016Good beer while waiting at the bar, delicious ramen and felt in love with all the waitresses. Can't complain.
- Pranay SethiSeptember 6, 2015This place is beautiful and cozy, with friendly staff. If only the Ramen was as good. I have had better miso broth in the city. The pork is stewed and not braised. Disappointed.
- Alexa (@ladylexy) AndrzejewskiMarch 23, 2012Try the Kaedama (Extra Noodles) - So glad they offer this! I love having the noodles on the side for a #tsukemen type experience!
- steenDecember 11, 2017Curry lunch special is soo good! Pork pieces are super tender. They don’t serve ramen at lunch though :(
- Lauren ShermanAugust 24, 2015The fried chicken and miso ramen are incredible. Black garlic tasted like a garlic gummy bear.
- BommyJuly 29, 2015Try the miso veggie ramen with thick slices of kabocha. Check out the bathroom before you leave.
- Get the karaage! Miso soup base! Pork is charred on top with a torch before placed on your homemade noodles with flour from Hokkaido!
- Kendal CockrelJune 12, 2016Had the pork curry for lunch. Tasty and hearty. Place was small, crowded but service was steady.
- BoJuly 30, 2016Delicious miso ramen and cool jungle toilet! Loved the elderflower+cucumber cocktail.
- James TAugust 20, 2014You have to try the two-week slow roasted black garlic appetizer. It can be a little polarizing.
- Get the classic. Don't mess with the spicy ramen -- it's spicier than enjoyable and not quite as special
- One of the best ramen places in SF. The special ramen is delicious.
- Will CharczukMarch 8, 2015Had the "Tantan" spicey pork ramen and it was awesome. Bathroom is a trip.

- Mortiche WongAugust 13, 2014Miso ramen with extra pork (for the baby!), arranged like a flower in my bowl.
- If you want spicy, rich, and damn tasty, get the tan tan noodles.
- Andrea SyMarch 11, 2013Try the salmon shioyaki brunch ! And dont forget boba guys and their fantastic horchata boba
- Wednesdays are special ton katsu days. No karaage appetizer and only the ton katsu and veggie ramen options
- Tom CardenOctober 5, 2012Tonkatsu Wednesday is not veggie friendly and it's very rich! Delicious too, but other days may be better for delicate palettes.
- Ashley MowreyAugust 7, 2014Eat all the Ramen. Stand in line 5 minutes before they open for the quickest and best service.
- Ryan GoodmanJune 6, 2013The best bathroom in SF. I know this sounds weird... But don't knock it til you try it.
- Tiffany HoSeptember 2, 2013Best chicken karage in town. But skip on the ramen here- it's waaaay too salty. Apparently it was better when they were just a pop up restaurant.
