As Farringdon is the only 'through' station in London it has both 3rd rail power (South London) and overhead electrical wires (North London). So much nicer now the temporary roof is off and the sunshine can get in again.
FCC ticket machines often not working and never enough staff on the ticket windows to compensate. Station staff say people are always complaining but FCC never do anything about it.
- For step-free access into Thameslink trains use the platform humps in the middle of the platform.
Watch out on the screens in case the 8 car train became a 4 car train!! You might have to run down the platform :)
All you need to do is MIND THE freakin GAP! Ya heard meh *mamadeevoice*
New entrance has removed all the old rush-hour bottlenecks to get onto the platforms
Mind the gap in the new platform extensions, the curve of the track means a bit of a step to the train
Side entrance to turnmill street is open till 10am and reopens at 4.30 till 7
- Watch out for the charity muggers outside every freakin day, jeeeez

New look station lacks the character of Farringdon. Shame now it's just another station in Europe rather than a quirky part of London.

- Finally, lifts at Farringdon!! Long overdue and just in time for Summer hols : )
- Quite possibly the slowest machines to collect prepaid tickets
Better chance of getting a seat going north at City ThamesLink.
