As Farringdon is the only 'through' station in London it has both 3rd rail power (South London) and overhead electrical wires (North London). Watch it switch when the trains are stopped.

Great link to a lot of places through the metropolitan, circle and hammersmith and city line. Also links you to main locations of London, like city thameslink and blackfriars southbound

Be careful of the Main entrance before the barriers if its been raining. They have cleverly put THE slippiest tiles ever when wet. Good job TFL/National Rail/London Underground

Predicted to be one of the UK's busiest railway station, with 200 trains per hour, including Circle, Metropolitan, Hammersmith & City underground lines, as well as Thameslink and Elizabeth Line Trains

Electric trains raise and lower their pantographs here. Watch the sparks if you get time. Positively electrifying!

FCC ticket machines often not working and never enough staff on the ticket windows to compensate. Station staff say people are always complaining but FCC never do anything about it.

For step-free access into Thameslink trains use the platform humps in the middle of the platform.

Mind the gap in the new platform extensions, the curve of the track means a bit of a step to the train

New look station lacks the character of Farringdon. Shame now it's just another station in Europe rather than a quirky part of London.
