- Dave McSeptember 5, 2018The architecture of the building, and especially the courtyard, surpasses the artifacts in the museum. It's worth the trip even if you stay outside.
- Dave McSeptember 5, 2018I thought China cornered the market on difficult to build roofs, but Cambodia is the new reining champion. The architecture at the museum is amazing, even better than the exhibits! 🏆
- Dave McSeptember 5, 2018Cambodia is a great place to really gain an understanding of the blends of cultures in the region through the food, art and architecture.
- Dave McSeptember 5, 2018The art in the museum is very nice, but if you've already been to Angkor Wat, you're not going to be very excited about the museum. It's really hard to comete with the artistry in Siem Reap.
- Peter MAugust 18, 2017Entry has gone up to $10. No map provided and audio guide is extra. My latest Lonely Planet said it was $5 so it must have doubled recently. Still a great collection of historical sculptures though.
- Ashley DandoFebruary 11, 2018A great building housing many artifacts. Pictures inside aren’t allowed but the guards don’t pay attention. Nice gardens in the center
- MuratNovember 22, 2016Located close to Royal Palace and RiverFront. Takes 1hr to walk around. Closes early. Nightly shows with national folk dances are available, 15USD (duration 1hr) and quite interesting.
- Ladybug 🐞😇💭🐼May 5, 2015Amazing from outside but you can not find something so special inside, too small but your tour guide will inform you very well.
- RhysOctober 19, 2015Personally I liked it and entry is a reasonable price. But this is for the artifact/history geeks that like reading the plaques. The visit greatly increased my appreciation and knowledge.
- Pick up your tickets to the nightly cultural performances. Cambodian Living Arts produced 3 rotating shows with traditional and folk dancing.
- Alistair SpeirsJuly 13, 2013$5 entry seems okay to me. Nice central courtyard and good number of 5th and 6th C statues and other exhibits. Kids can feed the fish!
- EricNovember 23, 2015Thorough museum, I especially liked the tapestries depicting stories of Cambodia
- IdiootSeptember 11, 2014Some impressive statues and carvings. Old style museum, don't expect too much though. Certainly worth a visit in Phnom Penh.
- Chris DaykinDecember 10, 2015Great building with lots of interesting artefacts. Kids under 10 are free.
- Angel DominguezJuly 24, 2013Probably the most informative tourist site in Phnom Penh, lovely for spending an hour reading about relics.
- FireUnder AshJanuary 28, 2014If you don't have archeology studies background better read a bit about Kmer empire history before to pay a visit. ..
- Andrés SuárezDecember 30, 2017whilst not the best museology in the world this is an interesting museum worth the visit
- SAM MAJIDApril 4, 2013Ancient artifacts with lots of stories to tell. Take your time here and get a Guide
- KT SchedingMarch 30, 2014Now $5 to get in but kids free. Photos okay to take in the courtyard, which has a spot to buy cold drinks.
- myaka myakaJanuary 11, 2018rather poor collection, museum workers trick you to give donations - don’t take flowers/bracelets from them. building and the inner yard are super cool.
- AnandDecember 30, 2014This place has lots of sculptors from pre-angkorian period. If you are into sculptors then you may enjoy it. It was not worth $5 for me.
- Lionel LathamNovember 23, 2010One of the nicest museum of South-East Asia, beautiful open air atmosphere with gorgeous sculptures.
- YangJuly 4, 2014I'm sure the artifacts are important but the presentation is horrid, I feel like I'm in a disused curios warehouse
- Marjo LaitakariJuly 10, 2012With 1$ you can take pictures of the yard inside the museum, not any of the items in the museum.
- Joey LimJanuary 29, 2015It would had been a lot more enriching if audio aid options are available. Otherwise....
- Sian PeacheyNovember 19, 2012Took ten minute to walk around. Small and very very dull in comparison to Siem Reaps museum!
- Ali BJuly 14, 2014$5 entrance fee a little steep - I was put within 10 mins and was besieged by women selling me jasmine within the museum (5x). Not recommended. No photos.
- Erwin Tang Yew HonDecember 19, 2012Said pictures not allowed but no one is watching most of the time ;)
- Anna Rigo AllegriAugust 6, 2013Beautiful outside building....but not so interesting inside...unfortunately
- DraKoNovember 28, 2015Not worth it. Very small and there aren't many different things to see. Seen it all it 10 minutes
- justineAugust 4, 2013There are only so many statuettes I can look at. Not worth the USD5 entrance fee.
- Dr_Alban_GDecember 9, 2016Vu les autres conseils je n'ai pas pris l'audioguide. Il y a par contre nombreux paneaux explicatifs en anglais et même en français.
