- Monday nights are the best!!!! After work jazz and chorus girl or burlesque performances. Live bands are always spectacular and you'll see some good dancing too.
- An indoor Biergarten. It gets a bit loud but that's not a problem. The schnitzel is really good with authentic sides. Get the "mas" and you'll be good to go.Upvoted 3 weeks ago
- Untapped CitiesNovember 16, 2014The pretzels are imported directly from Germany. Classic look, classic beers, just respect for the tradition is what made this place one of the best we have ventured to in the last couple of years. Read more
- Dushyant BalasubramaniJuly 8, 2018Not an easy find if you follow Foursquare mapping instructions. Go for the HB beers on draft...the sunlit terrace is beautiful in the evenings
- KT FloridaDecember 6, 2018If you're not sure what to order, get a flight with their 4 main beers and 1 seasonal on tap
- Teeker KajDecember 14, 2019I came here yesterday with a big group of friends and Julia was such a sweetheart! We tried the flight and the Hefe Weizen was my favorite. Get the pretzels too while you're at it! Fun time!

- Kristi EvansAugust 6, 2011I love this indoor beer garden! My fave beer is the dunkelweiss (dark wheat) and get the sausage that's a mix of pork & beef. If you have 3+ friends with you, make sure to order a shotski!! Trust.
- Dan BrownMay 15, 2014Ask the knowledgable bar staff about the variety! Almost like being in the Munich establishment (which I have been too) but much friendlier here in NYC!
- Zack SheppardJuly 22, 2014One of the many "not-quite-authentic" beer halls popping up in Manhattan. But, it is one of the better ones.
- KarenMarch 12, 2022Want everything on the menu. Delicious food, excellent ambiance, generous portions.
- The Corcoran GroupMarch 11, 2011Just opened amazing and authentic German bierhaus. Try the Bierhaus Pretzel (Large) with hot mustard, the Weisswurst and a Hofbrau.
- Come for the music and German style bierhaus. Stay for the music and remember due diligence to keep the impending hangover at bay.
- Brew YorkSeptember 19, 2011Through 10/3, you can reserve a table here for their daily noon or 6pm seating for $70pp, which entitles you to two beer tickets, one food ticket, live entertainment, and a boisterous atmosphere!
- Morgan NelsonAugust 25, 2014A typical beer garden in food and drink. The shot ski (four shots on a ski) and hofbraü make it a fun atmosphere with good beer.
- Alex FishJune 22, 2015As close to Germany as you can get in NYC. Get the Dunkel or something you can't find normally at your local joint
- Serious EatsJuly 29, 2013Spacious German beer hall with German sausages, beer, and fried sauerkraut balls. Good for groups.

- Carmine GalloJuly 16, 2011This popular beer joint uses social media creatively, to have fun with its unique brand. Check out its foursquare specials. Learn more about mobile, social media in new book The Power of Foursquare
- John BigbooteFebruary 21, 2014The band is funny once or maybe five times, and thereafter I want to get the hell out of there. Beer is great though. Serve beer, not music.
- Ryan EickJuly 23, 2016Not the best beer garden in New York, but it's a convenient location and gets the job done
- CompassMay 16, 2014Head to the second floor of this indoor beer garden for bratwursts and liters of beer.
- Glen BischoffMarch 4, 2017Obviously get the boot. The 1L is probably the better choice as it is glass vs the 2L plastic
- Joe GruchaczJune 6, 2011Good food. Solid beer. Gets really packed though and they don't take reservations or hold seats so get there early and together. Read more
- Dorothee Grubert-ArndtAugust 26, 2011Beer great, food: some good, some ok. Mustard is a bit disappointing.(Dijon, not authentic) Atmosphere: feels like home away from home. Will come back.
- Olessya KuzJanuary 8, 2012Wursts weren't good at all, but great beer and excellent steamed mussels appetizer, surprisingly for a German resto
- Andy McMillanOctober 7, 2012If you're checking the tips to see if you should go here, you'd have more fun absorbing the debt of flying to Munich to the actual Hofbräuhaus. This place is a sweaty, fart-ridden jock hellhole.

- Stef SpitalnickMarch 19, 2011the band loses it's charm very quickly but the beer is good, the bar is crowded, and the pretzels are hot n fresh out the kitchen.
