Buy your ticket in front of gateway to India, directly from the ticket booth. Once on the island you don't need a map. A guidebook can helpful if you want to learn about the different depictions.

The Monkeys are wild & dangerous. Dont remove snacks in front of them . Dont even think of clicking their photographs. They sit in clusters & will attack if you tease or interact with them.

Ignore the train. It sits there while you reach the entrance to the park. Also, get ready for a hike up some steps.
