- City of New YorkDecember 26, 2012The first phase of improving the East River Waterfront Esplanade was a 2-mile-long, City-owned public open space extending from the Battery Maritime Building to Montgomery Street.
Lovely spot to people watch & have a scenic view of the Brooklyn Bridge. It’s also a great place to go running along the East River.
Nice views across the river and lots of good photo ops of the Brooklyn Bridge. Bike lane is separated from the pedestrian path, so stay the heck out of it unless you're on a bike, please...
Great for a walk on a sunny day! Make sure to check out the elevated park for views of the city
