- Beth RankinOctober 15, 2016Laid-back, unpretentious craft beer bar, particularly if you like sours - at any given time, up to half of their 40 taps are devoted to sour beers. Don't miss Sour Week in October
- Hidden gem! (Ignore the stark exterior) Incredible foodie food with an equally outstanding beer selection! I cannot recommend this place enough. Opens at 4-ish.
- ℋumorousMarch 2, 2015I know it has been said before, but seriously, the music here is grand. It is great for drinking and chatting. What you want in a Local. Sláinte! ♪
- Undoubtedly the best selection of craft beer in the metroplex. Great patio, relaxed atmosphere, good service and unique decor make this place one of the coolest places to get a drink.
- Lauren BernalDecember 30, 2013Awesome hidden gem. Grilled cheese and hummus were awesome. And get the elote! And a beer you've never heard of. Now you're set.
- Super cool dive. One of best beer selections I've ever seen. Staff is awesome and the food is delicious.
- Jenna SchofieldAugust 9, 2014Looks like a warehouse but cool vibe on the inside. Some different things on tap than the usual 'beer bar' stuff. I wouldn't call it top 10 beer bar, but I like it. And no uptown type crowd (bonus)!
- Matt DaigleOctober 18, 2015In October, 2015, they have 41 taps (I'm told). 1 is out and 40 are sour beers. If you have never tried a sour beer, I'll spoil it for you: they're vile. What kind of bar stocks 40 sour beers?
- Dallas ObserverNovember 27, 2013Some days call for a good beer paired with good music. The Dallas Observer 2012 winner for Best Bar Music, Strangeways, will be pouring pints and spinning tunes from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m.
- Ian SmithJune 12, 2012great food. great beer selection. great place to get away from Henderson riff-raff. dont be afraid to make the short trek from Henderson.
- Strangeways has one of the best tap lists in Dallas, best enjoyed pint by pint.
- BillyAugust 8, 2014So many great whiskeys and lots of beer rotating on tap. Cool vinyl toy collection too!
- Im so impressed! Very unique and rustic bar. Different environment amazing selection of beer. Cool music. Will come back again.
- Jason CruzFebruary 13, 2014One of the best beer bars in the nation. Whenever I'm in Dallas I'll be sure to stop here.
- Elote. Elote. Elote. So freaking good. Every bartender here can give you a great beer recommendation. Trust them.
- Dallas ObserverJanuary 8, 2013Best bar music in Dallas! The music sets the mood by breathing life into the gritty place!
- Jeff CasselMay 6, 2016Excellent handles. Very likely to have 1/2 of the representing breweries outside of Texas.
- Hannah AllenJune 16, 2012Good patio... seedy area BUT free parkinh across the street so you don't have to walk far and not too busy...
- NoahAugust 22, 2015Excellent whiskey, tequila, and beer selection. Otherwise, it's just a bar. No TV's behind the bar... Talk to your friends.
- Loooove this bar! Service is amazing! Music is great too.
- Great beers on tap. Brewdog Tokyo, Draak, Kwak, Clown Shoes, Green Flash, Brother Thelonius, and Pranqster to name a few.
- Park at the rear of the building (this is limited) or across the street in the Michoacana Market parking lot. Not next door at the Vanidades Salon.
- Impressive beer selection on draft, and it changes all the time!
- Kim An BuiSeptember 10, 2011Vietnamese Hue beer and a cool dive although getting a little too uptown-ish
- Rosie is Eric (owner's) sister and president of the janitors association. She is awesome.
- ℋumorousApril 14, 2012Nice craft beer selection if you're searching foursquare like I do when traveling. ☺
- Russell McDowellJanuary 20, 2012This appears to be the closest bar to the Best Western. That's why I'm here. Less than a 10 minute walk.
- Eric and Rosie want you to try the skittles vodka! Tell em the mayor told ya!
- Chris DavidsonNovember 6, 2012BEWARE: Don't try to use the Scoutmob deal... they are not honoring it. I had dinner there tonight and they refused to discount the meal per the deal terms. It was crazy! The food is TERRIBLE, too.
- Never heard of the Smiths? Maybe not your bar. But Uptown awaits you! Cheers
- Joey GarzaJanuary 21, 2012Good place for beer. Food, not so much. If you are going to have a tomato salad on your menu, I would expect good tomatoes, McDonald-grade. Food really disappointed.
