- Keith DeanNovember 20, 2014Minimal, sexy, sophisticated if your an experienced espresso drinker and appreciate amazing coffee then this is the place for you; the best espresso I've ever had. (no cream, no sugar, just heaven)
- this is my favorite coffee until stumptown opens. simple things are wonderful and there's nothing more simple than getting just what you order. espresso/coffee with milk, iced/hot. simply blissful.
- Bruce KMarch 10, 2014Parking will be a challenge. Seating is more bar style than table + chairs. They only offer espresso with milk or drip coffee. Huge roaster machine clearly visible. Overall, a great place.
- EpicuriousAugust 3, 2014Co-owner Michael Phillips was the first American to win the World Barista Championship. But they've laid the smackdown on snobbery. Their promise? "We're going to make great coffee & be nice to you." Read more
- Daniel MarkhamApril 5, 2012Ask for a "one-and-one" (sometimes called a "one-n-fun"…I don't know why) — the usual double-shot of espressos, split into two cups, one simply a shot of espresso, the other, a single-shot macchiato.
- My go to is the espresso and 3 oz of milk: one shot of espresso served alone and another shot served separately with just a little bit of milk.
- Brett DahlenburgMarch 16, 2014Probably the best espresso in LA; novices need not apply, this place is for serious coffee connoisseurs and drinkers only.
- Denise MorrisseyJuly 11, 2013Tyler - the owner - knows his coffee! And ask the barrista for a reco when you order a drink.

- Grant HosfordSeptember 10, 2013New favorite coffee shop in Downtown LA. Don't ask for cream or sugar. They don't have any!
- do i even need to give you a tip? you're getting either espresso or coffee, from the best... what more could you ask for?
- Kyle R.August 13, 2014The menu is simple: proper espresso drinks. That's it. Don't try to mess up their perfect pulls with sugar. This is one of those times when being told no is actually a good thing.
- Easy coffee codes: "C" is for Comfort... and "A" is for Adventure. "C" for less acidic & more traditional coffee taste… and "A" for more lighter but more fruit-forward taste.
- Michael KandelDecember 10, 2013The coffee is great and the baristas are all beautiful, but there is no wifi. :(
- Louis RobledoMarch 21, 2013For me it weird that a coffee shop has no sugar, but great staff and tranquil atmosphere
- Chris MessinaSeptember 24, 2013What to Order: A pure five-ounce espresso with steamed Clover Farms Dairy whole milk.
- Jenn LloydAugust 7, 2014Thank goodness this place closed. No cream, no sugar??? This place had a highly inflated self worth for the just alright coffee they were brewing. Nothing special and it appears the customers agreed
- Mucho Comida™January 15, 2013No pour-overs. Drip coffee is good. Espresso does the job as well. Enjoy.
- STALYONApril 2, 2013Go for their drip. African if possible. I promise, it will make you more handsome than before.
- Midtown Lunch LAJune 15, 2012Proof chocolate chip cookie dunking is the best (and only) way to add sugar to your coffee.
- Try the queen imman (sp?) pastry with the coffee...obvs.
- Drew MaddoxOctober 5, 2012just about to start my day. Work some crazy hours now I am back to my daily hours. Thank god it is Friday Going to the club
