They have a Mutt Match every 3rd Saturday of the month where you can meet some amazing foster dogs and, for cat-lovers, they have the Desperate Housecats event the last weekend of every month!

Get approved first! Check the website constantly under "View ALL Dogs" for the most up-to-date information. Email in interest for the dog you want. Long process but payoff is great.

Shelter is open every day from 11am to 7pm for adoptions. Adoption fees are typically $75 but can be reduced if shelter is overcrowded. 'Like' Austin Animal Center on facebook to get updates!

Just come in and play with a dog or cat that has a green sign. They need the love :)

This is a horrible place. They call themselves a no kill shelter yet they murdered a dog that we have done everything to save. Horrible murders!!!
