Go early, grab a paper and a table on the deck, start with a cup of Kona and a macaroon biscotti, and finish with a Kauai Waffle with papaya, banana, whipped cream and coconut! Best mornings ever :)

Get the Kauai Waffle, you won't regret it. No wifi here in keeping with the chill vibe throughout Hanalei. Tables on the porch seem to open up quickly, but you can always grab a table on the lawn.

You order coffee and waffles from the menu, but the real reason to come here is the scene -- in the center of Hanalei, it is the ritual to start your day. Kid friendly.

The food is great the location is hard to find it was called java kai but now hanalei rosters. They do coffee and breakfast until 11 am. It is located to the right of bubba burgers.

Kona coffee is the best. Great for breakfast...burrito and papaya bowl (pictured )were favorites!

Lunch taro burger is good, especially the homemade mustard. One of the only healthy options in Hanalei

It's now called hanalei coffee roasters, but NOTHING has changed. Amazing coconut syrup, chai and cinnamon rolls (gotta get there early for those though) ;)

yummy sandwiches and tasty all fruit/juice smoothies. they are known for their desserts and they also sell gift items. very friendly service here.

The espresso drinks are decent but their freshly roasted coffees are the way to go; the Kona was worth the extra cost.

This place truly has the best java on the north shore, and I would argue, on the entire island. They roast their own coffee on premises, and they of course have access to Kauai Coffee's fresh beans. Read more
