- We joke that Wooly's is our home away from home, but with so many great shows, we do spend some time here! Good sound, friendly staff, and huge beers ... they are $7, but you get your money's worth.
- Marcus HeitmannAugust 22, 2015Great venue that plays every time of music. Drinks are a little but expensive, but show tickets are always cheap.
- Nitefall on the RiverJune 24, 2013Big fan of concerts? Head on over to Nitefall on the River, located at Simon Estes Amphitheater to see great live music. Slightly Stoopid & Atmosphere perform 8/4.
- Great beer selection for a music venue. Very fair prices. Sound is usually great.. But sometimes touring bands have bad sound-guys.
- Great venue to see a loud band like MOGWAI. Audiences for singer songwriters are disrespectful.
- Sherpa ConcertsMarch 29, 2012Wooly's is an awesome venue that is about to get even better! On 4/18, Frankenstein Brothers feat. Buckethead and That 1 Guy will be rocking this place! Don't miss it! Read more
- You can get Woolys very own beer on tap but it doesn't say what style...mystery beer! Is it a lager? Is it an ale? Noooo one knows

- Abbie ToneyOctober 6, 2012Worst sound in Des Moines despite relatively decent sound system. Learn to mix!
- Mike SoggeJuly 21, 2012Don't bother coming to a show here. Some of the rudest crowds in town. Will be loud and talk the entire show.. No respect.
- Bring cash! Smile like you mean it. Dance like no ones watching.
