Awesome view and wonderful vibes. Definitely top city beach. Drinks, food, couches and a great view.Make sure you take the ferry from the right place, near the Amsterdam Centraal station.

Take the free ferry to NDSM werf from central station and explore Amsterdam North & industry charm. Perfect place for drinks & food is the beachbar Pllek. Also great in winter: there's an inside area.

The food is fresh and healthy. The scene is relaxed with freelance creatives working on laptops, couples chilling on the sofas by the fire and larger groups enjoying the view.

Great place for a drink by the water on a sunny day! Dress code: swimming suit, flats or flips flops. Ferries run every half hour and be sure to get the ferry on the left from Centraal.

Pllek has an incredibly chilled vibe for a bar just outside of the city. Book ahead if you want sit down food or just grab a drink and sit on the sand. You can even swim if you like.

Most relaxed and laid back spot in Amsterdam. Can be very crowded but it really suits the spacious place. Their beach is the best in the summer with a great view over the IJ river.

Getting the leather sofa on the left side of the glass walls allows you to stretch out with a good view of the waterway and boats while njoy ing the warmth of the open fire.

Great views while sitting on one of Amsterdam's urban beaches. Beautiful in summer but busy. Well worth taking the ferry across from Centraal Station.

It takes you a (free) ferry ride across the ‘het Ij’ but then you’ve found the #1 chill and lounge spot in Amsterdam. Put your feet in the sand, along the water and listen to live music or dj’s.

Great place to hang out for a couple of hours. Had a few local beers on offer. Very friendly staff. Would have tried the smoked mackerel sandwich if we hadn’t already eaten.

Great open space with a wall of windows opening onto the water. Lots of light. A fireplace kept us toasty in March. Very nice place for laid back, sunny lunch/daytime drinks.

I really was surprised to see the inside and the waterfront side. Great view to the Amsterdam "skyline". Enjoy the food and a drink at this really not ordinary place.

I can be easy: visit this spot once the weather is nice, and enjoy a beer / wine or some dishes. They don't serve blankets which makes a after summer night a bit coldly

Don't forget to take a picnic-cloth, in case you you can't find a table/chairs available. The place is fantastic to enjoy live-music with family and friends.

I really enjoyed the setting of this restaurant. It ships yet to 11. Much more hipster that I though possible coming from London. Also the food was ok.

The burger was very good! Too crowded on a non-rainy day (not even sunny), but not bad if you sit near the waters. Nice breeze as well :)
