- The Corcoran GroupJuly 10, 2013If this place was George Washington's favorite, then it's ok in our book! While it's known for its whiskey selection, the extensive beer list is not to be ignored. We usually go for the beer flights.
- @juliefogg FoggDecember 9, 2015Chicken Pot Pie has been on the menu since George Washington ate here. It was the most savory dish I've enjoyed. Make sure you have 1.5 hours for this place. Hard to get in & out, fast.Upvoted 1 week ago
- This is just the coolest bar to take visiting friends too. Just avoid it like the plague around happy hour. Any other time, great beer, food and a cool whiskey room
- amNewYorkSeptember 15, 2013Highlights include the Long Room, where George Washington gave his final speech to his officers. Bonus: the museum is connected to an excellent old-school tavern and restaurant.
- Heather CallawaySeptember 20, 2014The food and beer were delicious, and there was a great live band playing. Be sure to check out the museum upstairs! As a history nerd, this place was a great experience.
- Jonathan BrandonJune 29, 2016Had the filet however they ran out of stones... Great anyway! Mushrooms and asparagus as sides and a Cabernet followed by Blantons bourbon... This place is a bucket list destination!
- Esquire: A cozy tavern with surprisingly good food and a warm feeling in the older rooms. The whiskey bar up front is the snuggest place you can be on a winter night in Manhattan.
- Ryan EickJune 29, 2017I'm a big history buff, so visiting a bar that's been around since the 1760s was pretty awesome. Didn't get a chance to try the beers, but they looked good, and the whiskey selection was great.
- Dan SohaydaJanuary 9, 2018Old, dark, and brooding, but great bar with a lot of options. Separate beer and whiskey lists to pick from. Menu is rotating so if you see it online doesn't mean they'll have it. Ask the bartender
- Erin MurphyOctober 15, 2014Really great authentic and old NYC bar. There are tons of tables and seating. Can get a little crowded at times. Definitely check it out! They have tons of beers including some they make themselves.
- Kate ConnorDecember 20, 2016Love this place in the winter. Mold wine, old fashions, and a fireplace to keep you warm.

- Michael NataleSeptember 6, 2016Grab a seat at the pub. There's tons of whiskeys and a great selection of beer. Try the famous chicken pot pie or the gouda mac and cheese with bacon.
- Jacobo GómezMarch 25, 2017Amazing historic building from 1719. Inside is a maze of rooms with cozy bars, liv music and great beer selection.
- Hernán GonzálezOctober 2, 2014Excellent food!! The building doesn't look like much and might drive you off at first glance but just go along with the whole 'this is a historic building' idea and enjoy the food.
- Marc SchneebergerSeptember 30, 2017Very abundant classic Irish food. There is a museum upstairs worth visiting. When you eat there you feel like traveling 300 years back in time.

- Generally speaking, it's the atmosphere that sells me every time. Everything I'd love to have in a historic restaurant / pub.
- Landmarks Preservation CommissionMay 24, 2013Opened as the Queen’s Head Tavern by Samuel Fraunces, it was the site of Washington’s farewell to his officers in 1783. It's one of the few notable 18th c. buildings in Manhattan. Landmarked 1965. Read more

- Loni FrenchApril 9, 2016Lots of separate rooms and bars make you feel like your in you're living room. Each room is different; some with couches and more comfortable chairs.
- TenantKing.comJuly 25, 2014This bar is as classy as they come. They have a whiskey tasting room, a formal dining area, and a large assortment of beer. There's even a small museum upstairs!
- Travis McFetridgeAugust 18, 2013Great restaurant with incredible old world atmosphere and charm! Plus a historical museum where George Washington stepped down from the Continental Army after the Revolutionary War.
- SiobhánNovember 19, 2017The beer menu looks long but be warned that it's more a list of what they could have with a lot of rotation. Just tell the waitress what kind of drink you want and you'll be told what's available.
- Kouros MohitDecember 7, 2014Great quick bite to get back to business. Get a free pass to go upstairs to see George Washington's visit there. Amazing artifacts and paintings.

- Michael KleinJanuary 31, 2017Historical landmark, huge space, and great rotation taps. Great for all occasions
- A whole lot of beer gets poured at Fraunces Tavern, established in 1762, but it's also a gathering spot for several cocktail and whiskey clubs. - From Eater NY
- SiobhánNovember 19, 2017Came on a Thursday evening with a large work group — the place was packed and service slow but we got our own table that kept growing and the food was incredible.
- Nate BeattySeptember 17, 2015Large selection of beer and lots of seating. This place is huge. The bar on the east side of the building is the best spot
- Patrick FinnJanuary 3, 2016Great place with a feel of the old sod. Had a quaint room with a gas fireplace you can warm up to on a cold winter day,
- Transport yourself out of the hustle and bustle of modern New York by grabbing a pint at Fraunces. Live music on Saturdays!
- Ross BaltimoreOctober 19, 2016Huge place, great selection of scotch and interesting cocktails. It's a bit crowded but go to the whiskey room if there's room
- Brad ThiesApril 18, 2019It’s all about the tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwich. Top it off with a Viking cancan and it’s a perfect meal.

- Michael AdlerSeptember 5, 2013I've been here several times before and after the renovation. The history, the whiskey, the food is not bad either. Great if you want to host a party if about 100 people!
