- SaraMarch 22, 2015Delicious cocktails. Highly recommend the Red Headed Mule - whiskey infused organic black cherries, fresh ginger, and orange peel served in a copper mug.
- AFAR MediaApril 24, 2015Whether you come for the impressive craft beer selection or for its hearty food, Haymaker won't disappoint. Bring your dog along and sit outside in the comfortable outdoor dining area. Read more
- Social News NetworkOctober 14, 2013A good place for a fun night out! 39 types of beer on tap, and tons more bottled. Great food plus shuffleboard, pool, and TVs to watch the game. Menu Must-try: the Traditional Poutine - IT ROCKS!!!
- Austin ChronicleJanuary 14, 2014Great selection of global and local beers and a good hangout spot, Haymaker is geared toward sandwich-loving beer drinkers. The food is hit or miss, though its two varieties of poutine are very tasty. Read more
- Rocky PerezAugust 2, 2017I totally come to drink, but I had one issue it was the portions... for $12 sandwich & fries, Muffelltta was good not huge but good, fries were almost non existent! Come on give up the fries!
- Elisa CooperNovember 23, 2013Beer is good-Elsewhere. I have had good experiences in a dive bar to a 5star; I walk away loving a new beer/Brewer. This place made me wanna drink wine. Long live Austin brewers! Salty, lifeless food.
- Josiah David ChapmanJanuary 25, 2018Chain sports bar/restaurant with great service and lots of open space for groups and games (pool and darts). However, the price point is relatively high, and the food doesn’t particularly impress.
- Their southern style poutine is ridiculous. Get it. Also if it's still on draft get the Bible Belt beer. It's $10 for a half pint but god damn is it worth it.
- Daniel BorrelliApril 26, 2014I've quacked here a few times and it's always been a positive experience. I was aprehensive about the quacker at first but found myself very comfortable quacking here. 4 stars
- Jon BOctober 6, 2014As a Canadian, I can tell you the poutine is legit. As a human, I can tell you the beer list is spectacular.
- Brittney PotterApril 12, 2015I got the nutty grilled cheese it was ok it could use more flavor. Their sweet potato fries were delicious along with their fluffenutty Cristo. Plus $2 margs on Friday... I dig this place.
- Hama-LycheeJune 28, 2018Their beer selection is impressive. Their poutine is not close to a real Poutine Québécoise but it’s a decent mix of potatoes and gravy sauce. Mind the salt level and the lack of ideal cheese curds.
- Josh AMarch 22, 2017Cool spot. Lots of focus on watching soccer. Good breakfast fare. Good beer selection. Get a breakfast shot.
- James WhiteAugust 4, 2014Great variety of sandwiches and pub fair. Good outdoor seating and great service! Order the Haymaker
- Brandon WilkinsFebruary 19, 2014Awesome drink menu and I hear the payment is the way to go! Great Texas Tuesday specials!
- Jonathan BOctober 28, 2013Order the Haymaker, but forget the fried egg. It adds too much salt for what's already a delicious flavor explosion.
- Allen VelasquezJuly 2, 2016Affordable, $2 Ritas Friday and a really tasty Croc Misseur. Highly recommended.
- Craft Beer selection is legit. Good food selection, definitely not typical bar food, and US Soccer everything!
- Dianne HillhouseApril 23, 2016Cuban pressed burger, pecan street blue burger, friendly service, great beer and cocktails
- Sandeep MadhurNovember 24, 2018Nice bar with decent food. Great outdoor patio. Also a Michigan Blue bar!
- Alexis PSeptember 21, 2013If you're looking for the bar on the block that is full of babies and young children, Haymaker is the spot.
- Lo-Cell ErvinOctober 16, 2019It's a sports bar if you just want a beer and wings or burger, but it's not my taste. This place is not for Soul Folk, but more of a Uber/UT crowd. Food and drinks nothing to brag about.
- Alyssa PMarch 8, 2015The Cuban pressed burger and fries were delicious! The frozen margarita was mediocre (and not frozen)... but that's what you can expect from a $2 marg right?
- Ben BaronApril 18, 2015Make sure you park in the Haymaker lot, not the one to the east, or you risk a boot on your tires.
- Vegan burgers and sausages! Extensive beer and fairly good cider options
- Staff was awesome, food/drinks are delicious, and I love the neighborhood!
- The place to watch a soccer game or get a quick after-work beer!
- Lauren CadellOctober 12, 2013Cherrywood Chiller is amazing- Live Oak hefe with frozen Deep Eddy ruby red lemonade
- Chase ProctorSeptember 27, 2013Burger was over-cooked, but sweet potato waffle fries were delicious.
- Eating the Haymaker will leave you feeling like you just got hit by one.
