- reece pachecoJune 9, 2015the famous Playland Motel... toned down from its raucous past, Playland is good for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. best spot for a large group to sit down to eat.
- Justin BretonJune 29, 2014As of 6/19/14, the back patio with lounge chairs, ping pong and corn hole is CLOSED. Check back with Playland Motel before visiting. Inside bar is okay. Service isn't great, though. #nycadventures
- Alyssa KovacsJuly 5, 2013Sitting out on the patio was awesome; there was pong pong, corn hole, and a great DJ. It was essentially like walking into an American Apparel ad
- JYOTI SINGHSeptember 10, 2015Guava margarita and the watermelon salad, especially after a day at yhe beach.
- Brent CaswellAugust 28, 2016Generally liked our stay. The rooms were a little bare - no coffee etc. music was loud from the bar downstairs. But if you're wanting to get a break from the city it's a solid pick.
- The beef sliders with potato stick fries were great. Very chill vibe and great drinks makes this a new Rockaway destination
- Elyse EstradaAugust 4, 2013This place is pretty sweet. Lounge chairs, corn hole, ping pong and kiddie pools. And the A train is a block away. Heaven.
- Naz OnderogluJuly 1, 2013Best getaway! You need to come here at least 12 times and stay in a different room each time you're here. Have fun!
- bar, restaurant, beer garden, and artist-curated hostel located near the site of the old playland amusement park
- Great addition to the area. Check out the back patio. It's all reminiscent of a 1950s beach motel
- Robby AbayaJuly 21, 2013Head to the back on a nice day. There are kiddie pools, games, a DJ, and fun people.
- Whitney's new pizza spot might just be the best pizza in New York City. Bold statement, but it is damn good.
- Alyssa BereznakJuly 15, 2015weird ass hipster motel. some rooms are more well-equipped than others. it's above a bar so don't expect to sleep much
- noel hidalgoAugust 11, 2013Food is good but the service is the most bitter lemon you'll ever taste. I hope the manager hires a professional staff. Also, too many Mosquitos inside...
- Monti BrayJuly 21, 2015Sit outside on their patio and soak up some rays like the trendy beach bum we all want to be.
- Tracy SolorzanoApril 19, 2016Cool vibe but beware of portions - they are HUGE so make sure to share ;)
- Oliver DelgadoAugust 25, 2013Cocktails/food good; beer thankfully only $3–5. But... some major front-of-house issues: disappearing or occasionally rude service, incorrect orders, bills wrong, etc. Let's hope it's fixed soon.
- Jen BergJuly 12, 2015Come for drinks/scene but do not, I repeat DO NOT sit down for dinner. Extremely slow service (though they do it with a smile!) mediocre food and expensive for what it's worth.
- Fish sandwich was amazing! Snag yourself a pitcher of bloody marys
- Nirmala ShomeJuly 6, 2013Watch out for jimmy dean. He'll buy you a drink but you have to buy him one first.
- A summer in NYC is no longer complete w/o experiencing this fun time.
- Fer CAugust 14, 2015Las alitas de pollo están súper ricas, también el sándwich de camarón. Ponen música 60tera, muy padre el ambiente.
