- EaterJanuary 7, 2014Bufalina raised the bar on Austin's pizza scene. Perfectly executed Neapolitan has won the hearts and minds of diners around town. Their salads are expertly sourced as well. [Eater 38 Member]
- Austin ChronicleJanuary 13, 2014This elegant Neapolitan-style pizzeria is always packed, but worth the wait. If you’re lucky enough to dine on a night when the mushroom pie makes an appearance, you’d be a damn fool not to order it. Read more
- Jennifer RuizMay 17, 2018Some of the best pizza in Austin! Stone oven in the middle of the dining area, so it always smells delicious. Very small place, so going at odd hours is your best bet.
- José DucósOctober 13, 2017The best pizza in Austin. Thin crust Neapolitan pizza made in a wood fired oven. The Tallegio pizza was amazing. Reservations only available for groups of 8-10.
- Peter TsaiAugust 19, 2013Simple, thin crust Italian style pizza done right. The scallions on the taleggio pizza were delicious. Bibb salad was light and delicious, olive oil cake was refined and tasty!
- Adriano GonellaJune 5, 2019Price $15. Calabrese - tomato, mozzarella, salami, serranos, garlic, basil. Great dough. However I wouldn't try this one again, too spicy, I would go with "Fresca"
- Juan PérezAugust 4, 2015Bibb salad was amazing, cheese plate spectacular, perfectly poured Zilker beer and one of the best neapolitan pies I've had in the US. Great service and very reasonable prices, 10 out of 10!
- Meghan BrindleyNovember 25, 2013worth the wait! order the Bibb Salad (very refreshing) and nduja pizza. the nduja was hands down the best pizza I've ever eaten! also had the fresca, but found it underwhelming for all the hype.
- Bibb salad is amazing. The Fresca pizza is to die for. We have become regulars, they know us by name!
- RaniaMay 6, 20191st come /1st serve. Got quickly seated on a Sunday afternoon (6ish). Some of their starters can pass for main. Loved the rabbit gnocchi and tomato based pizza.
- Ellen WestcottAugust 25, 2013Mozzarella is hand-pulled daily. Amazing. The margherita and fresca pizzas are a must. Service is great, atmosphere is low-key and not at all pretentious. New favorite pizza in Austin!
- For two: kale salad and one of the pastas or Mozz of day. Two pizzas (make one a fresca). Bottle of rose. Happiness.
- Calabrese pizza is my absolute favorite! Also, start with the olives! And that olive oil cake with ice cream? It's a perfect, not-too-heavy dessert!
- Amanda ParkerMay 12, 2017Never had anything here that wasn't delicious. The wine list is also solid, interesting and tasty wines with plenty of affordable price points.
- The best stateside Neapolitan-style pizza I've had outside of NYC. The staff is amazing, and if there's pasta on the starters menu, make sure you order it.
- David PittsFebruary 6, 2015Obviously there's a reason food network showed up here. Be prepared to wait, it's pretty tiny. Whatever you do though, get the margherita and wash 'er down with a local beer
- AmateurConciergeFebruary 9, 2020World class Neapolitan pizza with a major oven to prove it. The Caesar salad is an excellent and light interpretation
- Brad KwaterskiJune 25, 2016The lettuce appetizer was out of this world and the pizza was amazing. Thin crust with amazing sauce and toppings.
- If you like anchovies and olives...then wow, the anchovy pizza is out of this world delicious.
- Serious EatsAugust 21, 2013East Austin welcomes Bufalina's Neapolitan-style pies, topped with housemade mozzarella and locally sourced ingredients.
- Lauren S.August 19, 2014Worth the (long) wait on a weekend night. The waitstaff is friendly and accommodating. The crust is what makes the pizza. Order the crostini.
- Megan ShererSeptember 26, 2015After seeing Bufalina as one of the top ten pizza places in Austin, particularly their Margherita as the best, I was left a little disappointed.
- Maria BruederlinFebruary 26, 2016Their pizzas are delicious, the atmosphere very friendly and casual - it's one of our favorites in Austin.
- Anna ShoffitNovember 12, 2019We were waiting outside almost an hour on Friday evening but it was totally worth it. Great Neapolitan pizza 🍕✨
- Erin GJune 14, 2017As good as the hype and more. Everything was delicious. So sad the burrata wasn't on the menu the night we went 😞
- Samantha YoungMarch 16, 2015Casual, rustic and full of character. This is some of the best pizza in town! Found it here:
http://supper.mx/places/bufalina-pizza-austin/ - Sydna M.August 4, 2013Any of the appetizers are great! The pizza fresca is delicious! The olive oil cake, if on the menu, is fantastic.
- KathrineJuly 30, 2017Love the food, but the service has really gone downhill. I'm not sure we'll be back--which really makes me sad, because the food really is good!
- Finally, legit Neapolitan pizza on the Eastside. Absolutely delish, small communal setting. Instantly rivals Austin's best.
- Eric LacziAugust 9, 2014The Taleggio pizza is very good and the olive oil cake is a must for dessert.
- KathrineJune 8, 2015Soooo glad we went here on a suggestion. Amazing pizza and apps. Good beers, too.
