Fascinating architcture! Huge but well organized place. McDonald's is open 24/7, very clean toilets Rail & Fresh for 1 € tax with returning 0,50 € bon usable in fastfood restaurants.

Changing from the lower platforms to the upper ones can take quite a lot of time. Careful selection of the correct elevator may help.
Upvoted 5 days ago- Beautiful station, designed by Meinhard von Gerkan. Beware: transfers from regular trains to S-Bahn takes at least 6 minutes as you have to climb several floors.
J KoflerNovember 9, 2018Great train station, clean, a number of shops that are also open on the Sunday. Various places to get food for the train ride. If you need to use the toilet, go there first, then redeem your voucher!

My favourite railway station. Rewe, Rossmann, great selection of food stands (the sushi one is not bad at all) - all you can possibly want is here. Not to forget the beautiful architecture.

- Stan BarnhamDecember 27, 2014So many levels! Strongly suggest finding out your platform with high priority. Can take a while to get from Platform 1 to Platform 10.
You'll find the cheapest mineral water at the REWE supermarket in Level -1, one litre for about one Euro. - Avoid the expensive snack shops for buying drinks! And enjoy Berlin!

A stroke of urban planning inspiration to put the main train station in a place that is incredibly hard to reach.
5 floors high station where you need to find right lift to take you to right platform :) There are clean paid restrooms, ticket can be latter used in shops to buy food.

Slaveiko SavovMay 27, 2015Nice station, but if you need to change your PEDs, and you cannot access the DB lounge, your only choice is the Tourist Bureau. Thankfully they have a nice little rest area with a few outlets.
A very nice station,there's quite a good doner stand outside,a supermarker inside and so on,shitty wifi though. And its a bit difficult to find a good coffee for a good price. It has starbucks though

Romy Alyssa MadisonApril 20, 2015This bahnhof is quiet impressive. I managed to get lost in there a few times and still don't everything that is inside. Apotheke and grocery store is 24/7 and that is wonderful.
Go downstairs and walk from one end of the platform to the other. That's how long ICEs are nowadays, it's incredible!

A beautiful train station, wonderfully German with its easy to understand universal signage.
When traveling between Berlin Hbf and Leipzig Hbf always use InterConnex! 7:51 - 9:18 Berlin to Leipzig, 9:31 - 10:51 Leipzig/Berlin, 17:02 - 18:30 Berlin/Leipzig, 18:55 - 20:14 Leipzig/Berlin
Nice architecture. Lower level north-south, upper level east-west direction. If you're in a hurry avoid the elevators.

Luciana C.January 18, 2012It is huge, indeed. But somehow it seems so calm and peaceful and silent as if it was at a small city. Amazing.- For an undisturbed smoke use the entrance Friedrich-List-Ufer on first floor. Much less panhandling and loitering than at the two main entrances.

Billie AkmanMay 14, 2011There is a great double decker bus that starts here and loops all around the city's prime attractions that is part of reg. Berlin public transport. See the whole city in ~ 1 hr.
There's a small brewery with beer garden on the top floor, next to platform 14/15. Enjoy a beer and maybe some sun at Hopfingerbräu. :-)

The pharmacy here is open 24/7 and also on Sundays and holidays, most other shops like drugstores, supermarkets, fashion stores and restaurants in the station are open.
