Fun and sometimes crowded soot from Stephen Starr's restaurant group attracts hordes of finance types. Go for the tacos al carbon, which are an extraordinarily good deal and feed far more than 2.

Most amazing burrito bowl of all time taste-wise. Problem is the lunch to-go line moves at the speed of snail. It's a constant struggle whether the amazing food is worth the agonizing wait

Pistachio goat cheese guac is great, as is the mango-jicama flavor. Try out the sangria. If you're in the mood for a frozen drink, get the blood orange. Also, this place gets crowded.

I go here quite often and have tried a lot of the menu. The chicken tacos or mission burrito is the best. The plantains are also a must have.

Order the massive plate of nachos because they're topped with jalapeño, cheese, and chorizo that's spread out on a pan -- instead of piled up -- to maximize each chips toppings. Read more

Blood orange margaritas are a must. Pair them with the queso fundido and chips and quac for appetizers. Crispy fish soft tacos and the soft carnitas were very tasty. The menu is great for sharing.

Nachos as an app between 2 was filling so finished off with the cured salmon, green apple and sour cream ceviche $13 & the lime marinated snapper $13. Classic margarita with agave and lime $11.

Everything is great! We have tried every taco option. If there's 2 of you, get the Tacos Al Carbon built for Two & start with the "bazooka" guacamole!! This is a great addition to Battery Park City!

Amazing burrito bowls with way more options than you find most places. And sometimes they hand out snacks while you wait in line!

Amazing winter igloo set up. Perfect for the cold, corona virus winters. Make sure to make a reservation online to reserve one for a group of up to 6.

Fantastic Stephen Starr restaurant, originating from Philadelphia. Launch is expected in June 2014. Expect many different types of guacamole.

UD: The nachos have attained nirvana. They’re simple enough—cheese, beans, salsa, sour cream, onion, jalapeño and optional chorizo...special reinforced chips, designed to give you 100% nacho coverage.

Red sangria: bland. Blood orange margarita: delicious, would definitely order again. Nachos w/ chorizo: amazing. Grilled fish tacos: salty, overpriced. Atmosphere was great! I'd give it another try

It's all good but the grab and go breakfast burritos are the best I've had. They started doing a weekly special breakfast burrito as well. Hidden breakfast gem

We ordered Tacos for 2 persons, one with chicken and one with beef. Basically it was fahitas style - you get a tortilla and fill it yourself. It was great. Waitress was slow and not interested much.

If you must come to El Vez, stick with the drinks and appetizers, such as the nachos and chips and guacamole. The "meal" options are poorly prepared and portioned.
