If u r an Extras card holder you get upgraded free to VIP theatre during the week. Nice plush seating and tables where u can bring in your food and adult beverages from the bar! Love this place:)
Amber / アンバーApril 10, 2013This is one of the only theaters I know of in the area where you can buy reserved seats. Forget worrying about how you & your friends will all sit together at midnight openings!
What's not to love about this place? Apart from the modern-day high movie prices all over, there is a free Extras program that includes $6 movies, FREE underground parking, and best sound in the city.
My favorite theater in chicago. It just feels luxurious with ushers to assist you and a posh bar up top. Popcorn is great and they've also got frogurt for those seeking lighter fare.

This is such an excellent theater and a hidden gem in Chicago! Ticket prices are reasonable and if you come in on a Tuesday or a matinee they’re a steal! Join the Extras program for FREE for perks!

Marisa RuizNovember 17, 2013If you plan to eat on the 2nd floor bar / restaurant be sure to allow for plenty of extra time. Food usually takes 40 minutes, though you can bring it in to the movie. :)

They are very welcoming and they seem to know all about audio description for the blind and visually impaired and their equipment works perfect

The sliders are my husband's fave. Order food and a strong cocktail to go with your movie. Makes for an awesome Saturday date

Spring for the VIP seating. 21+ & good food can be taken to your seat. There are even small tables next to your seat
A better place enjoying the movie, especially with free parking. My No.1 choice of watching movies since moved to Chicago
Don't use the bathrooms. VIP seating good. Great bar to grab a drink before movie. Huge food portions.
Try the little burgers called Royales yummy! Seeing Safe House :) not in VIP but taking bacon popcorn to regular seating hopefully!

Try the Bacon Popcorn from the ICON Lobby and the Frozen Yogurt at the regular concessions. Both are the BOMB!!!- Be sure to try out the Starlite Frozen Yogurt at the ShowPlace ICON Theatre. Also - this is about the only theatre in Chicago that uses REAL butter if you ask for it with your popcorn. Read more
