From Ryan Sutton's 2 star review: "Orkin slays you with shio or shoyu ramen just as much as with that garlic mazemen, a flavor so distinctive it should have the same trademark protection as a Cronut." Read more

Finally tried the famous ivan ramen... Unlike other places they use rye noodles. I tried the spiciest.one they had on the menu. Delicious. Can't wait to come back and try some more.

The Spicy Red Chili Ramen is one of the best ramens you'll have! Dashi + chicken broth, minced pork, smashed egg, rye noodle and fully loaded with egg, pork chashu, & roast tomato.

Try the breakfast ramen if you're looking for something new, only available for brunch on the weekends. It's a heavier ramen in a cheddar sauce with bacon and egg slices.

Wonderful! I had the triple pork triple garlic mazemen ramen with an added egg yesterday, and I'm still thinking about it. Will be back often to try everything else!!!

I know the main attraction is the ramen, but get a 1000 year deviled egg; it's fantastic (and cheap!). and for vegetarians, the veggie ramen is delicious. also, can't go wrong with the dry bizen sake.

Delicious ramen and apps. The Tofu Coney Island is great. JFK is just ok even for offal seekers. The spicy ramen is a must for heat seekers and works with the Ivan Palmer.

We had the Shio ramen with the roasted tomato & the spicy one. The shio broth was so delicious and the spicy one, you felt the kick as soon as you sipped it. Would definitely go again &try the rest.

Tofu Coney Island is a dish inspired by the sloppy chili-dogs of Coney Island fame. It's basically cubes of freshly fried tofu topped with a miso mushroom chili, yellow mustard, onions and scallions. Read more

Great atmosphere and super friendly management and servers. Went for a beer tap takeover event and had a great time. Food was even better with the best pork bun I’ve had so far. Can’t wait to go back.

The Spicy Red Chili ramen has a great spice level and unique flavors. I’d say in top 10 NYC ramen 🍜 and bonus points for the restaurant itself being super cute

At Ivan Ramen, Orkin's hottest selection is the spicy red chile ramen. The crimson-hued broth is flavored with dashi and chicken broth, then filled with minced pork, rye noodles, and a smashed egg.

Tokyo's Ivan Orkin's 2nd NYC ramen joint. Pickled Daikon was good w/ its XO sauce topping. Triple Garlic Mazemen, Kewpie Mayo, & Ankimo Fried Rice were okay. I recommend sitting in the back courtyard.

Best ramen spot in the city if you ask me. Check availability via OpenTable. Spicy chili ramen will clean you out and you'll enjoy every minute of it. Super fast service but super cool, chill vibes.

Grab a seat on the patio outside. Japanese fried chicken with ranch dressing is untraditional but a must. The chicken paitan is hands down my favourite ramen dish.

Ivan and his team, are a master at their craft. They take their ramen seriously, and so should you. So when they tell you to soak the mushrooms, you do it.

I don't want to compare Ivan Ramen w/ others (diehard Ippudo fan here) bc it tastes different. In a good way. The spicy red chili ramen w/ added roasted tomato was tasty. Great chew to the noodles.

Their pork belly add on topping is huge. Not to mention grilled to perfection. A must for any ramen dish you order. Roasted tomato add on topping is also a new flavor to try out.

the breakfast ramen is delicious, but might be too much for just one person, so order that up as the 'table ramen' and share it with your crew.

Spicy Chili Ramen. Brilliant. Drank all the broth. The rye noodles are a unique twist. We were also served their take on Chili Cheese fries, fried soft tofu with bean chili.

While not your typical broth-y ramen, the triple garlic triple pork mazemen is UNREAL. Mix it up before you dive in and it's umami to the max.

Creative ramen creations in an eclectic space. Even the Vegetarian Ramen is -- if not the city's best bargain -- bold, rich and memorable. Start with the Chinese Broccoli & Garlic.

I've never had dandan mien at a ramen joint before, but it was really good! The noodles are really what set this place off, right about bounce and chewiness. Friendly staff too!

Tried the Paitan 🐓 ramen after glowing reviews. Thought it tasted too "chickeny," like how leftover cold chicken tastes if that makes sense. Also too salty & wrecked my GI tract for a full day.

Spicy red chili ramen was good but the soup was too viscous/salty at the end. I'd have preferred normal ramen noodles over the rye noodlesChicken paitan was good. Add the roasted tomato topping!

The chicken paitan is rich, but not overpowering. Get this if you want something less spicy. Make sure to add the roasted tomatoes; it's mandatory.
