My first and favorite public library branch. It's small but they are always updating their stock and I never leave without am excellent book in my hand

This is the oldest lending branch in NYPL system. The attached Stuyvesant Polyclinic was originally called the Deutsches Dispensary, but the name was changed during WWI due to anti-German sentiment.
