- A Prospect Heights institution that's been around for decades and will probably outlast us all. Come for breakfast and don't be scared off by the line. It moves fast and waiters bring out hot coffee.
- Tom's is an unending flow of culinary surprises every time I visit. When they are busy, parties of 4 seem to get seated quicker. Their burgers are simple but hearty and be sure to butter your grits!
