Don't be put off by the entrance - get the dan Dan noodles (spicy, minced pork), but ask for the house-made noodles. You can watch them rolling them by the door.

They have dofu hua here. The savoury kind you'd get at Shanghai street stalls, made with their own silken tofu. Also recommend the rolled pancake with smoked pork. This place is a blessing.

Fresh made pork and chive dumplings by the older woman up front. Be sure to get the spicy and sweet (deep fried) shredded beef. You won't regret it.

Its not a pretty place, but its very authentic Northern Chinese style soup-filled dumplings with hot sauce. Go for it. Takes a while to make, but they're fresh, hot and delicious.

Soup filled buns, preserved egg and tofu, shredded potato and egg/chive dumplings. Like Din Tai Fung without the flight to Hong Kong.

Didn't like at all. Dirt place, slow service and I saw frozen dumplings coming from back kitchen. I was expecting a lot after the reviews at BlogTO, but this place didn't convince me! Price is cheap.

Try their soup-filled buns and if you feel adventurous go for bitter melon - it's good for your liver.
