The restaurant moved from 8 Queen Street to Odeon Towers on January 14, 2019. The new spot is bigger and much nicer! The pricing was lowered and the great promotions continue at Odeon Towers.
Tue night good - sashimi 50% off, beercheap, food is sensational for taste & value for money. If doing a walk-in, get there early ie before 7pm. I am leaving at 7:30 and it is full.
Enjoyed my sashimi platter, salmon-avocado salad, & Ika Nattou (squid, fermented soy beans, topped w quail egg yolk). SSB is d de facto Jap restaurant in d Art District
Get the usual suspects - miso soup, garlicfried rice, the excellent SASHIMI and try especially the SHIRO MAGURO, it's so beautiful it brings tears to one's eyes. Can you hear the angels singing?
Good portions for set lunch with slightly above $20 price. Overall food is tasty. Minus points on rice for being clumpy and miso soup being a little too sweet. Looking forward to trying the sushi.
Some very exotic items available! Be sure to ask the friendly chef for the specials. Also some of the thickest slices of fish known to mankind. Well worth it
On a Friday night the sashimi is really tired looking. Rainbow roll is lacklustre and for $50 per pax one expects better quality. Horrible. One wonders why is it crowded? Maybe for the weekday promos.
If you want to be full, be prepared to pay quite a sum. Very small portion, but sashimi is fresh👌🏻 We spent $260+ for 4 pax💸 The service staffs need to be more patient.
i eat here a lot when i'm feeling lazy (it's on the way home) and almost always regret it. overpriced food, mediocre ingredients, slow but friendly service. seems perpetually understaffed.
Tried the sashimi assorted platter and sushi assorted platter with salad and miso soup. My friends and I find them awful and not fresh. Very low standard for such price.
