A good selection of real ale and some good bottles too. Check the blackboard beside the bar for what's on, it's quicker. It's definitely a proper pub, one of the best in the area. Also get a pork pie!Upvoted 1 week ago

Particularly good rotating dark beer selection usually here. Lots of rooms to hide away in for hours and explore the range.

AdrianAugust 25, 2012Be prepared to find no-one behind the bar, have the barman appear but not even acknowledge you and disappear down the cellar. Go to the Kelham Island Tavern round the corner instead.
