Order the burger, get yourself a martini and enjoy classic New York. Steak tartare, Dover sole and off menu potato puffs are also all must orders.

Prohibition may be over, but the bar remains as intriguing as ever. Pro tip: Take in the large art collection and toys hanging from the ceiling as you sip on a gin rickey. Read more

More for the atmosphere and its legacy than its food. The Prawn for appetizer is good but nothing too special, and the Amish chicken is a little dry and very mediocre

Ask your waiter about touring the spectacular hidden wine cellar in the basement, which was used to hide booze during Prohibition. It's this place's semi-secret gem.
