Al S: Awesome little authentic Irish pub just off Grafton St. Sit inside for the best atmosphere. Grab a Guinness and cozy up on one of the couches around the perimeter of the room. Slante.
Al S: Beautiful modern taproom an easy 10-minute train ride from Brussels Zuid/Midi Station. Definitely check the vintage list and shell out the cash for a rare bottle. It’s well worth the price.
Place Fontainasplein 8, Brussels, Brussels-Capital
Beer Bar · Stalingrad · 266 tips and reviews
Al S: Great beer bar with a solid selection of Belgian beer in a range of styles. If you like lambic, make sure to try the Cantillon Moeder Cuvée kriek and/or framboise if they have them “au fut” (on draft)
Eikstraat 5 Rue du Chêne (Rue de l'Étuve / Stoofstraat), Brussels, Brussels-Capital
Beer Bar · Brussels · 114 tips and reviews
Al S: My fav beer bar in Brussels. Yeah, it’s touristy because it’s right near Manneken en Pis, but the atmosphere is quirky and unique. And they have a great lambic selection, served in a proper basket.
Grote Markt / Grand Place, Brussels, Brussels-Capital
Plaza · Brussels · 665 tips and reviews
Al S: The plaza is breathtaking at any time you view it, but if possible, visit at night at full dark. When lit up, the Grand Place is truly magnificent.
Rue des Bouchers 44 (Galeries Royales Saint-Hubert), Bruxelles
Belgian Restaurant · Brussels · 6 tips and reviews
Al S: One of only a few locations where you can buy a bottle of the exclusive Cantillon Chouke lambic beer, which is made specially for this shop. Drink one with a curry chicken sandwich. Tres bien.
