The essential places to visit when you are in Mystic, CT. Nice little place to come with your significant other, not really a place for a family or group of friends.
1. Captain Scott's Lobster Dock
Atif Ateeq: Though this is not in the heart of Mystic this is by far the best place in the area to get a Lobster Roll. Everything we ordered was great!
Mystic Arts Center: Great place for name brand consignments!
3. Mystic Arts Center
Mystic Museum of Art: Art exhibitions, classes and cool events here (Artini Hour anyone?). Check out our website for more info! Read more.
4. Wide World of Bagels
Mystic Arts Center: Specialties here are delicious bagels, but don't let them fool you - their chicken tenders with fries are awesome! (And just look at the desserts!)
5. Mystic Aquarium
Mystic Museum of Art: Cool place to see exotic animals. They even have touch tanks!
6. Mystic Pizza
Atif Ateeq: Only went because of the movie. I guess it's worth checking out.
7. Mystic Bascule Bridge
Atif Ateeq: Its fun seeing the bridge open up. Apparently it happens every hour.
8. Mystic Seaport
Atif Ateeq: I would go through the website and see if this is something you would really like it do. Seems a bit expensive for what is offered.
9. Mystic Drawbridge Ice Cream
Nancy Walker: Quaint candy and ice cream shoppe. Try the homemade fudge! Sugar free options available as well.
10. Olde Mystic Village
Atif Ateeq: A large selection of mom and pop type shops.
11. The Dinosaur Place at Nature's Art Village
Mystic Country, Connecticut: People love to take their photo in front of Monty the T-Rex, but there are 30 more life-sized dinosaurs in their Outdoor Dino Trails.
12. Mohegan Sun
Atif Ateeq: North America's 2nd largest Casino. Fun place to come to at night if you are visiting Mystic.
13. B.F. Clyde's Cider Mill
Mystic Country, Connecticut: Full steam ahead. That great tasting cider is made right out back in the nation's oldest steam powered cider mill! Drink up.
14. Monica's State St. Diner
new london main street: Don't worry about being seated, just come in and have a seat at this "where the locals go" downtown favorite.
15. S&P Oyster Co.
16. Denison Pequotsepos Nature Center
Atif Ateeq: We came here but didn't go in. Seemed like a waste of time unless this is the kind of stuff you really enjoy.
17. The Pequot Museum
18. Kitchen Little
Atif Ateeq: Hands down the best place for breakfast or brunch!
19. Bake Shop
Atif Ateeq: WALL OF FUDGE (not really)
