Combination beef pho all the way.
Wow, some of the best (Mission-style) Mexican food in NYC is in the back of a dive bar. Tried the al pastor and carnitas tacos, both were amazing! Avocado-tomatillo and chipotle salsas are both great.
Avoid this branch like the plague. Lines are insane, everything is disorganized, and the employees are outright hostile to customers.
I watched an employee curse out a customer in a five minute bilingual swearing tirade, throw her slip in her face, and yell, "I ain't gonna help you! Get outta here! I don't care; talk to my manager!"
The Butcher Steak is unbelievable, especially for the price ($16)!!!
The pork shoulder and the brisket are both awesome, but if they have the pork belly as their weekly smoke, GET IT! It's so amazing it should seriously be on the menu full-time.
Make sure to grab a number on the way in- that's how you get served. The porchetta, prosciutto, meatballs, mozzarella, olives, etc... Everything is good. Plus, they're pretty liberal with the samples!
Quintessential NYC utility slice! The only toppings you should be putting on this slice are crushed red peppers and maybe some parmesan...
Make reservations, come with a group, and get the tasting menu-- you can't go wrong!!! Every single dish we had was excellent and they brought out so many!
Double Smoke Shack with pickles is the stuff angel's dreams are made of!!
Everybody talks about the Wreck, which is awesome, but I think I like their Italian even better, especially since they have giardiniera!
used to be my favorite dive, now they think they fancy... at least they have McClure's pickles
Much better than you would expect, given that it looks like your standard Chinese in the hood from the outside. If it's your first time, I highly recommend a hot and sour soup and the General Tso's.
