Whenever we have guests come into town, there are some must see places around Fort Lauderdale, and some locals places too. Avoiding the chain restaurants.
1. Riverside Market

2. New River Pizza and Grill
Brett Circe: Maci's Favorite Salad is fantastic. And huge.
3. Bravo Ristorante
Brett Circe: The food is great here. Try the Mediterraneo pizza especially.
4. Heart Rock Sushi
Brett Circe: Try the Rainbow roll, it's scrumptious.
5. Royal India
Brett Circe: Get the Nan as a side, very good.

Brett Circe: The best way to see Fort Lauderdale is by water!
7. Pelican Landing
Cheryl Crapanzano: Jim the bartender makes the best drinks. Ask for his specialty drinks like "Jimmys concoction" or "poolside punch". Awesome homemade mojitos too!!
8. Himmarshee Street
Brett Circe: Best locals place to hang out in Fort Lauderdale.
9. Las Olas Boulevard
Silversea: Lined by art galleries, shops, restaurants & sidewalk cafés, it's perfect for a leisurely stroll. Check out Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, home to American and European modern art.
10. Fort Lauderdale Beach
Mazda: This beach has a beach wavewall – a flowing, swirling beach wall that extends two miles along the central portion of Fort Lauderdale Beach.
11. Lester's Diner
Ari Dorfman: Open 24 hrs.
12. Bonnet House Museum & Gardens
Mazda: The Bonnet House grounds encompass one of the last examples in South Florida of a native barrier island habitat. Five distinct ecosystems can be found on the property.
13. Las Olas Riverfront
Brett Circe: Stroll the Riverwalk for shopping, dining and drinking. A great walk along the river.
14. Antique Car Museum
Brett Circe: This museum is a hidden gem, lots of really cool stuff packed in there. Building is made from old Dade County Pine.
