Surprisingly cheap drinks. Good house music.
Writer and photographer who does social media-ing.
Great for late night eats ... All these people raving about the Smoke Burger ain't lying, it is ridiculously good.
Get Heather to make you a Manhattan. Get her to mix you anything, really. She rocks. And get Seth to serve you a drink on your birthday. : )
Ended up here for early breakfast, which was excellent. Portions definitely big enough to split, terrific service. Nice to discover another breakfast option in DuPont Circle.
The soups, which are typically vegan, are usually excellent, with fresh, flavorful broth and veggies. Great lunch place!
Gorgeous view from tables by window. BEST mashed potatoes I have ever had.
If you love grapefruit juice, try the potent and divine Ginny Lynn ... Terrific oysters. Lobster roll will make you cry: SO good.
Cutest dayglo yellow and purple ice cream place this side of the Potomac. Try a black raspberry kiddie shake. Divine, and not too big a serving.
Food at Red Giant is really good. Try Caesar salad with grilled cheese croutons, Lefty Grove panini and whatever they're serving for Tapas Tuesdays!
Johnsie (sp.?) is the sweetest, most helpful waitress ever. We loved her. : )
Thought the guest services here were top notch ... Everyone was genuine and helpful.
Fantastic music ... The Pixies and the Velvet Underground dominated the playlist when I was here. Loved it so much.
This place kind of sucks. Bland food, zero atmosphere. They claim they're a tapas place, but this is basically entrees with small plates to share.
Bison def. way to go here. Get the Avalon bison burger. Chopped salad also yummy. And freshly squeezed lemonade.
My God ... This place was sooo good. Wandered in here without knowing much beforehand and was blown away! For tapas: grilled calamari and eggplant fries with basalmic honey were incredible.
Really good crab cakes. To-die-for fries. The bread pudding for dessert. Trust me. And Rob's the best.
