Fewer games than you'd think.
A necessary evil, the Holland Tunnel is my vital link between urban excitement and suburban ennui.
FYI, the Mayor Special for a free coffee to their most loyal customers is no longer honored. To their credit the manager did comp my coffee (though I had already spent $11 so it wasn't my only item).
Definitely more polished than last week, and the portion size only #7 (tuna and artichoke hearts) was huge.
Unlike some of my recent trips to so-called coffee shops, the staff here seem to genuinely care about both pouring a great cup and interacting with staff.
Lots of good choices if you're a fan of Italian cured meats and cheeses
Based on my interaction with the guy at the counter, you'd think they're waiting for death. With so many other good coffee places nearby, I'm not coming back.
Every morning this place is like an episode of the old TV show Cheers: Everybody knows your name. I walk almost a half-mile out of my way each day to go here.
Sure it's getting colder, but the walk will do you good--and the food is even better!
Watch out for stopped traffic in the right lane,..silly tourists!
Two of the stations have very traditional Chinese cuisine so, next time you're there, pick something other than cheese wontons and egg rolls. You won't be disappointed...the food here is very good.
