Beer RunBar • Charlottesville, United States
One of the best selections of craft beer in cville.
Chipotle for Korean Food. Fresh ingredients, great value, and can be healthy. The bull sauce is pretty spicy, but delicious!
Your margarita order: sauza hornitos reposado + fresh lime & Cointreau. Absolutely worth the extra couple bucks over the house. Pair that with the red hot blues. Boom.
Hedonist-chic decor + talented chef with great wine list. Fun spot for a late night drink, too!
Nice ambience mixed with well prepared southern cuisine makes for a great date night. Try one of the heartier dishes like the short ribs (fall off the bone!).
Tasty margaritas. The bean dip is stellar. The portions are huge, I generally share an app and entree.
Great burgers. Some of the specials are absurdly huge, so go for the big mini if you want manageable. If you are trying to eat light by getting a salad-- don't fool yourself--bigger than the burgers.
Excellent wine list. Carne Asada, the bread, strawberry-rhubarb tart. You really can't go wrong. I went to the best tapas places in Barcelona looking for something better than Mas. Couldn't find it.
Phenomenal bloody marys, solid brunch. Strangely enough, AWESOME wings, worth the premium price. Friendly service.
The secret here is that they often have great food trucks on location. Grab a Missle IPA, a tasty bite from the truck, and enjoy the bare bones patio/parking lot with a really cool vibe.
It's all about taco Tuesdays. $5 margs (they're passable, not life changing, a little too sweet, but refreshing) and $2 tacos that are pretty solid!
Great spot for a drink or two before (or after!) dinner. Feels like you're in a living room, really cool vibe.
The bistro bar is cozy w/ rustic decor, has a great bar staff, and well-crafted cocktails. Great music generally.
The best BBQ in cville, possibly the world. Certainly the best I've had. The three notch'd bowl is my jam-- pork over mac & cheese and beans, drowned in spicy sauce. Perfection.
French Horns are delicious! Solid cannolis too-- the new expansion makes the interior more comfortable when it gets busy.
Solid raw bar selection, with an inventive menu of entrees and small plates to support it. Trendy industrial vibe and spacious interior make for a great dinner spot with some friends.
Friendly bartender, and they DO have beer/wine/liquor now.
Gotta get the hot lobster roll after eating a lot of oysters--paired with a minerally white wine! My fav oyster place in Boston.
Efficient airport--be prepared to walk a lot though! Also, if you are on the conveyor belt things, don't just stand! Or of you do, stand to the side so people can get by. :)
Small airport, but don't underestimate the security line. Recommend getting there 1 hour ahead. Sometimes 3 or so flights will take off around the same time, leading to congestion.
