The mac n cheese is amazing here. Great place to go and pig out. Drinks are good and great atmosphere.
The atmosphere & general image of this place is great. Very clean and presentable. I had the Mopped and Chopped Brisket sandwich. Delicious, but then again, when is brisket not delicious. Will return
He food and atmosphere
the meat sampler is delicious
My Filipino boyfriend was disappointed in the "longaniza." My pulled Bork was great, though.
Try the dish, Burnt Ends!
Pulled pork and brisket were both delicious.
The meat is delicious! Fast service and free dessert 😋
The ribs and pulled pork are delicious.
The half baked mac and cheese ($10.99) is to die for! We also got a pulled pork and a pulled chicken sandwich both darn delicious! Will be back to this place for sure!
Bad system for seating dinner rush. They have "reservations" but not really. Still waited an hour. Don't go during the rush. Food's good, small portions, service sometimes slow, not worth wait.
Burnt ends. If you get anything, get that.
Not good for large groups. Great food, small space
Skip the pulled pork for the brisket. The half baked Mac n' cheese is delish
The Filipino sausage sandwich is a take on longaniza served with garlic aioli & pickled shallots. & order the Gimme the Beef Butcher Platter with 1/4 lb brisket & 1/4 lb double smoked burnt ends.
the Philly Briskett sandwich is AMAZINGLY good and the burnt ends are also good the meat is so tender
I had the Bob's Burger (1/2 lb brisket/bacon blend, thesandwichenthusiast.com/butcherbar) here, & cannot recommend going back for it enough. Beautiful backyard & a new bar area worth checking out.
Bathrooms at this barbecue place were dirty and the ribs, pulled pork, and burnt ends were without texture or taste. Avoid this place.
No longer BYOB but they do have an excellent drink selection. Get the burnt ends! Be warned- they do run out.
Tried the four meat platter. Looks good right? It wasn't. In fact, we left almost all of it behind. Didn't even wrap out to go. Who'd eat it? Bland and dry. Save your money and go elsewhere.
The bar is really nice. The end.
Underwhelming. Get up and go to John Brown's. You'll thank me.
Drinks are OK, meats not so much.....
Good for vegetarians since the meat is not very good....
Owner threatened me on yelp after a negative review. #classy #avoid
The BBQ sauce tastes line it's from a can. Very unauthentic.
Careful about not liking this place. The owners will personally attack you online. Really classy.
The pork belly, burnt ends and Mac and cheese are excellent choices.
The burnt ends and pork belly are the standouts here, while the brisket is probably the weakest
Porky's platter is delicious. The pork belly and ribs is excellent with a side of Mac and cheese. Plus complimentary desert!
Burned ends Brisket
If you have not ordered yet, get up and walk out now. This place made me want to become a vegetarian. Everything LOOKS good but the meat here is bland and textureless. You'll thank me for this review.
Burnt ends were great. Some other things were a bit dry. But the sauce is good and solves that.
The chili cheese nachos are excellent. If you order it, make sure you have several mouths to help. We ordered it with the pico, sour cream and jalapeños on the side to adjust for personal tastes.
Awesome pork bellies & burgers !
Butcher Bar makes me want to move to Astoria. Truth. It's expanding next door soon. The Meat Candy Burnt Ends, Brisket & Applewood Smoked Bacon are delicious. The Apple Pie is good. They serve Shiner.
The butcher platter with 3 meats and two sides is enough for two
the brisket and bacon is as good as any I've ever had at Texas!
Everything. Free complimentary cronut. Can't beat that.
Delicious brisket. Best BBQ in Astoria, top contender for best in the city.
Bob's burger is amazing!
Pulled pork or brisket. U choose. Best option outside of fette sau.
The burnt ends are referred to as "meat candy", and goddamn if it ain't the beautiful red-blooded truth.
Now serving beer on tap!!!
