MarinaOctober 31, 2015If u have transfer know that passport check is horribly long. Try to ask other passengers to let u go first. 3 planes landed and 3 Windows only for passport check. Awfull.
Maria TsingouMarch 7, 2016I just spend 5 hours looking for a comfortable place to sit and trying to connect to the "free Internet" ... no such luck. The shops are OK, the cafes are not so good.
The security check is slow and inflexible, often overly dogmatic. Allow at least 15-20 minutes during rush hour.

very crowded airport! remember to be at least one hour before the flight if you don't want to miss your flight. the security control is a real mess and nobody controls the number of open gates!
The security is terrible! The metal ditrctor setting is wrong and they always frisk you! They even make you take of the flip flops!! Hate this and so far this airport is far behind European standards.
Ah Chopin Airport. I visit here every week regularly nowadays. :) Some parts of airport are under construction btw. ;)- Passport control has been lately taking 30-60 mins. Be sure to take your time. Poor organized.
Small airport and easy to find yourself but not very comfy. Taxi drivers at arrival zone are too annoying
The smoking lounge is at gate 45. The others are only the usual glass cages...
Remember, that sometimes queue for check-in may take more than 40 minutes, as like security control

Best coffees at the whole airport in a coffee shop between gates 37-38!!
Asian bar next to Gate 40 is better and less crowded then bars around security control.

To avoid queues at transfer security check exit to public area and reenter secure zone via regular gates. It's much faster!
Difficult to find. Exit the arrivals to the street, then turn right and walk to the end of the terminal. Go down the stairs just before the bus terminal. Ticket machine just inside.
Do not take the illegal taxi, when people approach you at the exit from the Terminal. Use only the official taxi outside at the main exit: Ele Taxi, Sawa.

Recently extended so doesn't feel dated. Still quite expensive and no cheaper option around.
Official taxis wait outside the terminal! This must be better organized in the future.
