Along the Aurlandsfjellet National Tourist Route, this viewing platform is constructed of laminated wood and steel and brings visitors 30 meters out into the air, 650 metres above the Aurlandsfjord. Read more.
There's a shuttle, but the hike is much more rewarding. When you get to the top, you'll be greeted by amazing views of Alesund, the surrounding islands, and the Norwegian Sea
In front of the hotel, there's a small outpost to rent kayaks (warning ~$180 for 4-5 hours). Kayak up to the Seven Sisters, then across to hike Skageflå (see linked tip). Read more.
As far as hostels go, this one is superb. Private rooms, amazing views of Romsdalsfjord, delicious all your can eat breakfast, and the bus to Trollstigten & Geirangerfjord leaves directly from here
Kayak around the corner, opposite the Seven Sisters waterfall, and look for a single orange buoy and ropes to come ashore(a bit tricky). Intense 45 min hike. The best views of Geierangerfjord await
