take a public bus for pure tourism, why not? Cheap and interesting!
Director of THATLou (stands for Treasure Hunt at the Louvre)... Curious? www.thatlou.com & www.thatdor.com (Musee d'Orsay) Mum to Storsh, Wife to El Argentino
when it's sunny don't miss prism spotting -- especially along IM Pei's wonderful spiral stairs
probably better to go the route of the "Menu" as other things on the menu take forever to arrive
décor is completely kitsch and service is spotty (though with a smile), but food is DELICIOUS and bang on for your buck!
Have fun with a Treasure Hunt at the Louvre (what #THATLou stands for)!
We always get our risotto, funghi, mozzarella and Italian supplies here. They're charming with great produce, but consistently cheat you -- so count your change as you smile back!
My v favourite cheap eats resto for lunch (dinner too crowded- I refuse to wait on line). Back room w/ enormous 19th C glass ceiling, fascinates babies to stare at while you EAT. Fast, prof waiters.
Wonderful sea food, the oysters especially. Lovely stained glass ceiling. Good for when you have guests to show them some art nouveau over dindin
divine fois gras, pleasant crisp service, adorable 19th century gnome mural, enjoyable for a delish 3 hour lunch
Don't miss the most divine toy store with hoop-throwing games and a fisherman's tub in front of the shop. Perfect for when you get rained out of Palais Royal!
My fave's the Al Capone - and though I always have a rose, the bio beer's good apparently (I don't drink beer). I love Lucky Luciano's for a cozy Sunday night dinner!
