It's pretty amazing. The abundance of desert Cactus and flowers. It's organized well and looks amazing. Top that off with all the wonderful smells of the leaves and flowers. A must visit.

They have water fountains everywhere. Over by the sensory garden there's one of those fancy water bottle filling water fountains.

Beautiful to just walk around in. Seeing all the different cacti from all around the world is really cool to see. Never knew there were so many different types.
The Luminarias exhibit featuring Chihuly is a fantastic exhibit and one worth seeing at night during the special late night showings.

Difficult to get from town by public transportation- you either walk, or need to change buses at zoo. Weird.

Great place to visit while visiting AZ. It was so beautiful and peaceful. There was a brief sand storm, but it passed quickly w/no concerns.
Coming for Noches de las Luminarias? Arrive as close to opening as you can, and drink it all in as slowly as possible. Dare to put away your camera, and enjoy the moment for what it is.

The butterfly exhibit is one of the coolest things at the Gardens.You get to interact with the as they land on you. I think it is only in the spring though
They brought back the Chihuly exhibit, it's a must see! Such interesting and beautiful pieces of art.
One of the most unique places in the Tempe/Scottsdale area. You don't realize all the unique plant life in the desert until you visit. Some of the attractions are seasonal, Spring is best.

Chihuly is back! Even if you aren't a fan of the traditional botanical garden experience you should go to see his work. It is amazing. I recommend a seeing it both during the day and night.
If you're new to the valley, this is a great way to see what AZ has to offer in botany. Go during the day to see it, but visit it at night during the holidays for Luminaries-fun place to walk around.
Gorgeous and magical at sunset. Enjoy & experience the beauty of the desert at this wonderful place. There is a great restaurant to grab dinner and a wonder gift shop to take a little piece with you.
The butterfly exhibit is borderline magical -definitely go. The gardens are really well-maintained, especially when I went during the Chihuly exhibit. I'm not a huge fan of the desert but I enjoy it.
I am excited for the Chihuly exhibit as well as the Las Noches de Las Luminarias for the holidays. It is going to be so beautiful. I saw the Chihuly last time it was there and it was breath taking.
This place is beautiful. Even when it is hot out there is a lot of shade and the environment grabs your attention.

Don't do this in the heat of day like we did but do visit because it's spectacular.

This place is beautiful, a must see. It may cost a little to get in just to see some desert flowers, but it is worth it. The colors and the exhibits, but go at night, the flashlight tour, Great.
Be prepared to walk a little, but there are some beautiful plants and desert life, stuff u don't see in the city areas. Evening/dusk is perfect, especially once it's a little cooler. Worth a trip.
Green thumbs love wandering through the rare agave and aloe varieties.
