- Clean restrooms, restaurants/coffee shops, lounges, train system, shopping .. etc basically all what you need as a traveler in an airport, you'll find it in IAD airport! 👌

- Signup for Clear as you’ll never wait in line at security turning this into one of the nicest and easiest airports and if flying delta get the breakfast at five guys only available in the airport!
- Very good classic airport, maybe limited restaurants choices, few coffee shops, will be boring if not staying in Business Lounge, easy to follow signs & clean toilets

- Luis W.May 21, 2019Don’t under estimate the huge and straight long airport that you really need plenty of time to walk to your departure gate, you don’t want to miss or rush to catch for a flight.
- The cheaper buses towards D.C. (Metro 5A to the Rosslyn Metro station and then L'Enfant Plaza, Fairfax Connector 981 and 983 to the Wiehle Avenue/Reston Metro) are at curb 2E on the arrivals level.
- Love this airport! One of the best for international flights in/out of DC. Tons of food options and oh they have sleep pods too
- If your traveling to Riyadh through saudia, take the B train as it much closer to their terminal and the temporary Turkish lounge
- The staff, the food, and the wine selection at Vino Volo in terminal B are all outstanding. Enjoy a glass, a "flight" of three wines, or a bottle to take with you! Ask for Melissa or Sheena.

- Silvestre AcedilloFebruary 17, 2014You know there are two DAY public parking at Dulles right? One is more expensive than the other because it is supposedly nearer. From my experience, it does not matter. The shuttle is very fast.
- Great American Bagel Bakery breakfast bagel sandwiches are surprisingly good and not a complete rip-off, two bagel, egg and cheeses plus 1 oj to split = less than $13 bucks, not bad for high quality
- If you are in concourse B and are in need of food, go to PotBelly's! You will not be disappointed and definitely add hot peppers to your sandwich.
- Take an Uber sedan (up to 4 ppl) from Dulles to anywhere inside the Beltway for $80 flat, tip included! An SUV (up to 6 ppl) is just $105! Sign up at
http://m.uber.com - So Clear now has an UP & Downstairs entry point. Be sure to check if your significant other has PRECheck & Clear before going to the upstairs location! Downstairs is CLEAR ONLY
- Concourse B is a hidden gem for long layovers. There are some great restaurants/fast-food spots (like Wendy’s), and international lounges you can access with status.

- TSA Pre is the only way to go! Fastest way to get through security, no removing laptops or liquids. It's worth the lengthy application. Amex Platinum reimburses the $100 application fee.
- Amber ENovember 4, 2015Best place for a layover: THERE IS A SMOKING AREA AFTER YOU GET THROUGH SECURITY. I repeat: YOU CAN SMOKE WITHOUT HAVING TO LEAVE.
- Great parking and transportation service to and from the airport and definitely more easy to get to from Maryland highway versus other Washington areas airports.
- If you have more than 10 minutes before a 5A or Flyer bus arrives (likely with their woeful headways), detour upstairs to appreciate Eero Saarinen's beautiful, soaring ceiling while you wait.

- SaraJune 13, 2015Customs etc. was very fast even though you have to remove shoes, hats, outerwear etc. Rechecking bags from international transfers was smooth too.
- As of March 2012, DC's two airports (DCA and IAD) are the only two places where you can try the breakfast menu at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. It's worth traveling to another terminal for.
- Passport control/Customs can be a nightmare here. If you fly in to here a lot from overseas Global Entry program totally worth it.
- Come early and take your shoes off when going through the TSA screening!
- Thanks to incomplete expansion, it's often quicker to get to Terminal C by taking the shuttle to Terminal D and walking.

- CarloNovember 2, 2013Highly efficient system and design that allows for smooth flow of transportation vehicles and passenger movement. Great choices of places to eat and shop at the gates.
- Huge airport, lots of traveling from terminal to terminal, fuddruckers is great in the international terminal (A I think)

- Jalaal ElasmarMay 12, 2017The airport is what you would call 1960's futuristic. The facility was intended for usage of mobile lounges but now has been converted into a facility much like airports of today.
- David HMay 20, 2014Gates A and B are located in the same hall. You can walk from one concourse to another for more food and shopping options.

- If you are on a long connection, look for the Sleep lounge on terminal A. A tad over priced but might be worth it depending on your itinerary. 😉

- Crazy long line for the Airport taxis. Booked a ride with @taximagic, and the cab was waiting at United departures (door 4) by the time I arrived there (from Wash Flyer line to upper level door 4)

- Air france lounge in A (on the end nearest B) is lovely. Quiet, good food, gracious. And available to anyone who belongs to Delta Skyclub too!
