Washington Dulles International Airport is a public airport in Dulles, Virginia, 26 miles west of downtown Washington, D.C.
Distance from the curb to C6, 1.1 miles, 30 minutes with no security wait. When they shut down Precheck, they force you through the regular screening.
Getting food from the food court. People mover from the international terminal sucks and should be replaced!!!!!!
Leave plenty of time for security, it's the worst
The food at the district Chophouse smells so good
Friendly Skies by United
Vino Volo in B gate is excellent. Tast 3 wines of your choice reasonable price excellent selection..and great tapas !
A very friendly environment ! Many choices for shopping should your flight be delayed and you have the adjacent Air & Space museum which is fantastic !
A very friendly and practically designed airport !
Airport staff are helpful .
From the prestigious National Monuments, to the scientific & cultural learnings at the Smithsonian, to the quaint streets of Georgetown, Washington D.C. has a lot to offer for people of all ages!
Best place for a layover: THERE IS A SMOKING AREA AFTER YOU GET THROUGH SECURITY. I repeat: YOU CAN SMOKE WITHOUT HAVING TO LEAVE.
Fastest airport I ever went through
Come early and take your shoes off when going through the TSA screening!
COSI is the best place to grab something quick for breakfast. Reasonable pricing for an airport, and the croissant sandwiches are huge and are very good!
Capitol Grounds coffee shop is great
Old, big, tons of construction in and around. Get there early.
Clean restrooms, restaurants/coffee shops, lounges, train system, shopping .. etc basically all what you need as a traveler in an airport, you'll find it in IAD airport! 👌
Customs etc. was very fast even though you have to remove shoes, hats, outerwear etc. Rechecking bags from international transfers was smooth too.
Migrations takes waaay too much time! One from standing in the migrations line until I got thru customs. Luckily there's free open wifi.
I'm headed #UpInTheAir again 😜✈️
The place to travel from to international destinations
Toronto folks. There's a Fox and Firkin near A3. Footy on screens.
Huge airport, lots of traveling from terminal to terminal, fuddruckers is great in the international terminal (A I think)
Free wifi - grab something to eat from five guys before you get on the plane!
Easily the worst immigration queue, every single time. 2hrs seems standard if you arrived on an A380.
They've really sped up the security checkin if you're lucky enough to get in the faster lane.
Come here to get out of this wretched place...
The Passport Express is good for both American citizens and permanent residents. 20 minutes wait.
Thanks to incomplete expansion, it's often quicker to get to Terminal C by taking the shuttle to Terminal D and walking.
Nice airport. Got to the gate within ten minutes from the time I walked through the front door.
My least fave airport in the world. International transfer is a nightmare here.
A sad, sad place. Fly out of Reagan if at all possible.
Good lord this place is a hot mess. We basically walked a 5k just to get to the flight transfer area. Customs is about as speedy and easy as a 3 day fast.
Welcome to the capital of the United States! Please appreciate the honor of the fact that the DC airport is literally located in VA...
There is a five guys and a chipotle in gates B. Nothing good to eat in gates A
Dulles is far from DC - cabs are stupid expensive. Try the bus, Metro, and/or Washington Flyer. Way cheaper.
Connecting to wifi takes forever
They have Chipotle and Five Guys in Terminal B!
I've never seen such an obsolete airport. Queues are endless. Immigration takes ages... Patience is a virtue here
they don't wrap the luggage with plastic anymore :(
Security is a bit slow but customs here is quick and efficient
Always, always find your gate before exploring. Starbucks is good!
Find an elusive Dunkin Donuts
&Pizza, DC casual dining phenomenon, coming soon post-security.
Beautiful, clean, efficient airport.
Passport control/Customs can be a nightmare here. If you fly in to here a lot from overseas Global Entry program totally worth it.
