MUST VISIT: Order their famous egg coffee and enjoy the nighttime view of Hoan Kiem Lake.
MUST VISIT: Make sure to visit this cave whenever in Halong Bay. One of the most impressive caves I have been to!
MUST VISIT: There will be hundreds of other visitors in Halong Bay but don't mind them. Bask in that communal sense of wonder and delight.
MUST STAY: The family who owns this place is very accommodating. They also serve great Vietnamese food to visitors. Ask them to prepare their delicious seafood buffet!
MUST VISIT: Never miss this impressive structure when visiting Hanoi! The queue towards Ho Chi Minh's embalmed body is long but it will only take you less than an hour to pass through the plaza.
MUST VISIT/EAT: Easily the best place I've been to in Thailand! Great beer, food, and ambiance. The owners are also really nice!
MUST BUY: Tasty salapao (siopao), if you need a quick meal.

MUST VISIT: You can go upstairs for a great panoramic view of the city. Patuxai is almost similar to Paris' Arc de Triomphe and New Delhi's India Gate.
MUST VISIT: Arguably one of the best Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia. Make sure to visit the adjacent temples, including Wat That Luang Tai and its giant reclining Buddha.
MUST DO: Make sure to have 10,000 Lao kip (THB40) for the departure fee. If you're taking the 5PM train to Nong Khai, come here around 4PM since there's nothing much to do here.
MUST DO: If you're crossing the border going to Laos, buy a ticket for the express train to Thanaleng Station for THB20. Then, follow the queue to the immigration booth for your exit stamp.
MUST DO: There's a KFC outlet near the food court. Buy a burger or fried chicken if you need something to eat while on the train.
