Try chilling around gate 7 nice and quiet - well some of the time
often long queues at security in the morning as they don't open all security lanes so arrive early!

Drop off shuttle includes the Hilton so can jump on or off on to save going inside airport
Nero at gate 7 bakes its pastries fresh on site. You get them still got first thing.
Don't wear an airside pass when catching a flight as they aren't allowed to serve you alcohol with one. I learnt the hard way
Fast track security queue is often longer than the regular queue, save your money!

Every time I've flown from here it's been late in the day with a BA or EZY flight back to London. Never had a queue for security in all the times I've been here.

Don't pay for Boingo wireless!! ยฃ10 for a day. The Servisair lounge has free WiFi (with better signal), food, drink and alcohol and is ยฃ15 for 2 hours. Better value if you must use internet.
Tiny airport compared to the other Uk airports, but who needs a big airport if a small one does the job
Possibly the worlds worst airport. Security is slow and unorganised. Forced walk via duty free, more shopping mall than airport. Avoid if at all possible

One of the most efficient airport security systems I've seen
Once again, no trolleys available in the Domestic Arrival section of EDI. How hard is it to have sufficient trolleys for heavily laden travellers?- If you're going the LCY you can use the Fast Track lane.
Getting crowded these days. Head to a lounge if you can
If you're flying to LCY on BA CityFlyer, you can use the Fast Track security lane.
There's a water fountain On the left hand side as you exit security. So don't go and buy an expensive bottle of water, just refill the old one.
