sedl • October 28, 2013Great Tour beside the regular tourist highlights. For me a bit more about the building on the tour would be great
Asha S. • November 19, 2010If you're a smoker, take your drink with you to the balcony during intermission to avoid having to exit the building. Access it through a doorway by the statue next to either one of the elevators.
Ray Y. • September 25, 2013Small library with a small-town community feel. Old building dating back to 1910 with beautiful ceilings. Separate children's area. Computer terminals. Self-check out.
Jeremy B. • December 13, 2010Just in case you failed to notice the sheer sturdy & symetric appearance of the building, take another look. Above the entry way above the gate is a compass & square symbolic to the free masons.
Scoutmob • November 28, 2011Mission Dolores is the oldest building in SF, built in 1791. Two major earthquakes couldn't topple it, but powderpost beetles almost did in 2000. Thankfully, they were stopped.
Nicole A. • September 1, 2014The current exhibit, Gorgeous, is a good look at SFMOMA's collection, while the new building is being built!

Anton S. • August 19, 2016Hope you know someone that can get you in. It's dope. Like a cool arts alley but inside a building.
Everett R. • July 20, 2013Beautiful shop and a friendly staff. They seem to do a great job of building community and bringing influential people by to speak.
Holger L. • January 21, 2013Fantastic built-for-Jazz building near City Hall. The acoustics are great and perfect for jazz. Feels more like an amphitheater than a classic concert hall.
Timothy C. • May 18, 2016Beautifully restored building, reserved seats (w/ small table) plenty of space between rows, table service (food & drink)...what's not to love?
CITY GRIT • August 1, 2014We love the innovative flavors but we also love that we can stroll down to the Ferry Building location when we’re staying downtown. We’re currently obsessed with the Hot Toddy Sunday.
Marilou A. • July 3, 2011If you stand on the Hayes St. side of Alamo Square, you'll have the best view of The Painted Ladies (Full House houses), St. Mary's Cathedral, the Transamerica building & the rest of downtown SF. ;)
Kelly . • February 23, 2013Building made out of shipping crates = no room for customers or merch. Steep and narrow staircase
Center for Asian American Media • August 19, 2010so many great film and media organizations in this building.
Michelle W. • March 7, 2014I could spend hours in this shop. There's so much to look at! Staff is really friendly and willing to answer questions. They offer some rad workshops like insect pinning and terrarium building.
Arthur W. • January 26, 2021The large pink building seen from the park on Buena Vista East is Park Hill Condominiums. It was once St. Joseph Hospital. The building was used in the Alfred Hitchcock movie Vertigo.
SFist • August 3, 2014The beautifully revived church-like 1914 building is the official West Coast home of New Orleans' Preservation Hall Jazz Band, so naturally the music lineup leans towards the soulful and folky side.
Athonia C. • December 24, 2019Happy hour is from 5-7pm. Margarita and similar drinks are $8. Be sure to turn left as you enter the front door otherwise you end up in the taco bar. they’re in the same building and share a bathroom.
Adrian C. • December 6, 2018A beautiful place to see a film, not just for the beauty of the building, but for the enthusiasm of the crowds that come to it.
Marvin • November 8, 2018Love the outdoor back patio filled with plants! Because it's situated between two two storey buildings it makes for the perfect cool shade while still having some natural light.
