HISTORY • April 22, 2010The building opened in 1921, originally named the Hennepin Theater. The ceiling has a dome with 30,000 squares of aluminum leaf. The auditorium & the lobby are actually two separate structures.
HISTORY • April 19, 2010The tower was built between 1928 and 1929 by Wilber Foshay. He chose to build his company in Minneapolis and started construction on this building, which is modeled after the Washington Monument.
