Blake S. • May 30, 2011Pretty touristy, but the service was friendly and the food good. This building had pirate history dating back to the 1700s.
Juniper C. • November 20, 2013The only square with all of its original buildings still present. Also the only square without a monument in the center. A very old slave cemetery lies beneath.
Craig W. • July 4, 2015Currently under major construction. Bathrooms are located in oversized trailers, as the building itself has been demolished.
Katie M. • January 28, 2014Worth the trip just to see the beautiful building and the kitchen downstairs. Buy the 3-site pass for the Telfair Museums and put the Academy on your list.
Jenn W. • July 25, 2015This is an amazing museum The building alone is worth seeing, but the collection of trains & the knowledge of the staff is unparalleled. Be sure to catch some of the tours 4 behind the scenes access

Jason N. • December 20, 2012Thursday - Saturday Betty Bombers serves up some of the best food in Savannah in the rear of the building. Order in back and they'll bring it to you in the bar when it's ready.
Jonathan S. • April 19, 2011Several buildings sat on this site since the 1700s. The last, a parking garage, was removed in the early 2000s. Take advantage of the new parking underneath.
Jacob T. • February 26, 2010Not only the textbook store for SCAD but also one of the largest assortments of art supplies in Savannah. Great historic feel in a mid-1800's building. Three stories of trade books and art supplies wi
Natalie K. • June 12, 2011Unless you wake up at 6am ... Stay on the highest floor possible. Historic building = creaky floors. Should have brought earplugs...

SCAD • August 26, 2011The Gryphon Tea Room is housed in an adapted turn-of-the-century pharmacy. Now a classic tearoom, it serves tea, coffee, sodas and light meals. The cornerstone of the building was laid in 1913.
J B. • September 21, 2013It's pretty much takeout only(very small waiting area), which surprised me, because the building is so big! Food for lunch was very well priced and pretty good as well. Large portions for sure.
Natalie • April 6, 2018This place is a mush while in Savannah! Must find the alley and the apartment building that leads to this place. Drink menu is printed on a newspaper!
Lucky Magazine M. • October 13, 2011A visit to E Shaver's bookstore feels like a trip to a lovingly curated museum with themed collections set in a beautiful historic building. Be sure to check out the great selection of antique maps.
KeytoSavannah.com • December 8, 2010All of the buildings are original to this square, except the United Way building. The center monument is dedicated to General Casimir Pulaski, try to discover a cool fact about the unique design.
Gavin H. • September 2, 2018Incredible renovation of this building (before pictures are inside). We had apps and drinks, with Southern recipes like grandma - pickled watermelon rind, potato cakes, fried bologna. Great service.
Jonathan S. • April 8, 2011Completed as a home and entertainment residence for William and Julia Scarbrough in 1819, it is one of the few buildings left in Savannah designed by William Jay.
Matt K. • September 19, 2013Fantastic reuse of the historic buildings , great play areas for kids (big and little). Nice grass areas. Enter through the railway museum - who doesn't like a train!?!
Natasha K. • June 30, 2011Cleanest bathrooms on River St, hands down!!! There's also an elevator on the back side of the building that will put you out on Bay St.
Jonathan S. • March 31, 2011Compare the facade of this building to the old city market that used to be on Ellis Square... it's a copy of the north and south facades of the demolished building.
Sean B. • December 23, 2011Tourist info can be obtained on the Touchscreen's located in the building
