Caroline L. • August 23, 2016The temporary whale exhibit was beautiful, loved all the photography as well
Miriam G. • August 14, 2014It's large and beautiful, and it never seems like there is enough time to see everything.
The Bailey Gardiner Team • March 29, 2011Spent the whole day at the Museum this weekend, and strongly recommend visiting the Hodgkin & Gainsborough exhibitions before May 1. Notice the similar brushwork of both artists - very cool.
Cherie D. • July 20, 2010Free on Tuesdays and the museum has great dinosaur exhibits, bones and videos. Outside the sunflowers are blooming, and the botanical gardens are close by!
Katie M. • March 29, 2011The whole exhibit is amazing but be sure to check out the tar pit demo/replica in addition to admiring the elephants. Fascinating historical stuff!
Jona R. • September 26, 2016You pay what you want, BUT they recommend 5$. Worth the visit, loved the Tableau Vivant exhibition.
Miriam G. • August 14, 2014One of the best exhibits there. If you're not up-close and personal with the bears, just wait. They will come out and it will be worth it.
Sara H. • August 25, 2012Really great place to spend an hour or 2, some great exhibits including the Apollo 9 command module
Katie M. • March 29, 2011Fantastically designed exhibit with multiple places to watch the gorillas from. Such a lively bunch.
Nico P. • March 28, 2022"Beautifully renovated in 2022, boasting additional exhibit space, a new courtyard and outdoor terraces and a flexible theater space + two new dining options"
echo • July 26, 2016Impressive conservation efforts. Super knowledgeable staff (be sure to take advantage of the bus tour, sit right upper deck). And of course PANDAS (1 of 4 zoos in US exhibiting pandas) and BIG CATS!
Ingred C. • June 2, 2012Dress in steampunk gear for a discount on admission to the exhibit. Come back July 13th for the grand steampunk party featuring Unextraordinary Gentlemen and Eliza Rickman.
San Diego Zoo • May 20, 2011Our orangutans share the exhibit with another primate species from Indonesia, the long-armed siamangs. If you’re at the Zoo soon after it opens in the morning, you might hear the siamangs hooting!
San Diego Zoo • May 20, 2011We received our 1st koalas as a gift from Australia in 1925. These fuzzy marsupials are not bears, and not as cuddly as you think. They're actually independent, feisty, and often grumpy.
Matt S. • October 24, 2013The exhibit just opened today, October 24! Come say hi to Nick, Conrad, Jake, and Debbie the Tasmanian devils.
Virginia G. • April 25, 2013This monkey in the exhibit is the best! So funny!
Victor M. • March 17, 2019We love it!!!
San Diego Zoo • May 20, 2011The Zoo’s adult male giraffe, Silver, is more than 17 feet tall. With such a long neck, it’s surprising that giraffes have the same number of vertebrae that we do—each one is just much bigger!
