Carl G. • December 25, 2015Great place to escape from the noise of the city. Huge area to explore with plenty of lakes and quiet spots to enjoy a picnic.
Kimmie O. • July 26, 2020Such a beautiful park. You’ll always have breathtaking waterfront views of NYC. Lots of grassy area for picnics. Plenty of things to do here. Certain piers have designated sports sections.
Compass • April 18, 2014Carl Schurz Park is a perfect place to relax for those who look for grassy areas outside of Central Park. A small field is perfect for sunbathicng or reading and a dog park lets pets run around.
ℳ𝒶𝓎♍ • November 16, 2020My favorite part of Central Park, with the arabesque design of the walls and staircase. It's magnificent. The open area at the bottom of the stairs is where performers/bubble blowers park themselves
Caroline D. • September 3, 2015One of my favorite places to people watch, read, and listen to the piano guy that comes on weekends to entertain.
Vito T. • October 14, 2015One of my five NY preferite places. Stunning by any side, not only the fountain but all the terrace. Underpass is great, too, and often there're artists exploiting its peculiar acoustics.
Paul K. • August 19, 2014Beautiful tucked away garden in the West Village. Perfect for some quiet contemplation.
Steven B. • August 20, 2013Go for a run around sunset and have your mind blown by the beautiful setting.
Lina C. • February 20, 2017The best park in Manhattan!! Great runs in the morning and beautiful walks during the evening while watching amazing sunsets!!
Kevin R. • August 26, 2011This is a great place to hang out. The changing artwork in the main lawn is fun to see as well. It's a good place to go with a book and relax for a while, and often gets some light breezes through.
Bethany L. • September 11, 2010What a surprising place! Views, plants, old and new. This is a great place for a walk, for reading or sketching, for people watching, and it is in Chelsea/Greenwich Village area.
Brian H. • April 8, 2012Wide lawns and trees dotting the periphery, sitting on a corner of land with the river on two sides, make this park a special place. The community gardens in the northeast corner are very nice too.
Borja B. • December 25, 2015There's something different about this park. It's a great place to walk around just about any time of the year. A little green patch of joy among NY's sky scrapers.
Kim P. • June 1, 2015One of the best places to spend a sunny afternoon. Bring a blanket and soak up the sun! ☀️
Daniel C. • August 9, 2015Perfect for a walk with your dog, reading a book at the end of the pier, showing visitors around something new and sweet view of the Empire State Bldg.
Zina M. • August 12, 2011Get a cupcake from The cupcakes & shakes cart at the bottom of the steps. The mooncake cupcake was topped with valrhona chocolate icing - divine!
Mike H. • June 18, 2015A beautiful part of the park - just don't go on the first weekend of spring/summer weather. It will be overrun.
Andrew C. • November 4, 2021Such incredible, uninterrupted views of every part of the city + all the different rooms with experiences are really fun and unique!!!!
Paige C. • August 12, 2014They have a small or large dog run, depending on the size/preference of your dog. Great area, nice views and very friendly patrons. My dog loves it here!
ℳ𝒶𝓎♍ • March 5, 2022There are lookouts all around the lake, some more secluded than others, that provide literal urban oasis while the rugged grounds provide countless hidden nooks and shelters for folks to get frisky!
Sally S. • February 13, 2013Great free spot to hang with a beverage, snack and/or good read. Shady in the summer and a good spot to watch the pickup soccer game most evenings in the summer.
Quintein • December 17, 2018I highly recommend visiting when there isn't a crowd (late night to 8am) to fully reflect. There is lots of security present and the area is under CCTV via the light posts
The Corcoran Group • October 11, 2013Some of the best views of the Hudson River from this park, and not as crowded as other parks along the West Side highway. Great place to catch a summer concert.
Kimmie O. • August 3, 2020Great grassy area for picnics, sports, people watching & laying out in the sun for sunbathing.
Jason Q. • November 1, 2017A beautiful memorial. Take the time to take it all in and read everything. Get there early to beat the crowds and book in advance.
