Had a great time at this gem in Greenwich village! Grab your tix for all tables and wait by the football tables. We had 6 in our grp & got 3 different tix. Long wait but well worth it! Jazz was ok.

Fun place when you want things to do while you drink, but the wait times for ping pong / shuffle board / games get long so get your name on the list early, even if you leave and come back later.

$3 entry for three-piece live jazz nightly. Get there early for seat on the couches or play one of the many games throughout: pool, table tennis, shuffleboard, chess, checkers, backgammon, scrabble.

pool hall, with live music/jazz... there aren't enough speakers to hear music if far away from stage!! cheap games and the equipment (both tables and paddles/sticks, balls, etc) are in good condition !

Hidden gem in the West Village. It's an adult playground, like your dream basement on steroids. Pool, shuffle board, board games, ping pong, live jazz, and cheap beer. Grimy, but in a great way.

One of the few places that hasn't changed much over the years. Still great. Loads of games, live music, never too packed, great beer and snack prices. Best on-a-budget fun in the village.

Below street level bar and music venue for drinks, table tennis, chess, checkers and more. There are also live bands that often add to the cost at the door but are always worth it for the energy.

Hit It Sunday night at 8:30, when it's uncrowded, lotsa game tables are free, & the house Big Band plays. (= The most extraordinary assemblage of young jazz talent in the city, yours for a $3 cover)

Whatever your game is - board games, pool, table tennis, darts, shuffleboard, and my personal (Waterboy) favorite, foosball - they've got it here. Plus, jazzy live tunes and cheap drafts. Game on!

One of my favorite bars in NYC. Looks like your friend's basement, but the best stuff—live jazz, ping pong, pool, shuffleboard, and scrabble (all games charge by the minute). Plus, cheap PBR.

Cheap booze and a very chilled out place to hang out. You can play ping pong, pool, shuffle board while listening to live jazz music. Place mostly filled with students from NY university...

For my first 4 years in the city (from Upper East Side) this was the only bar I'd take out-of-towners to. Pool, ping pong, scrabble, chess, PBR, live jazz. Don't go anywhere else.

Great for a date, bro night, friends from out of town, amusing parents, or anything else you can conjure up. $3 pbrs, great taps, and pool, ping pong, shuffle board, foosball, chess, scrabble galore.

<3 <3 <3 this place - awesome micro brews, live local jazz, tons of table games and a dog named handsome that walks around to greet you. Def worth the wait and only go after midnight - $3 cover!

This is more like a dive bar than anything. Great for college students or anyone who wants to play ping pong, pool, or chess. Plays jazz music in background. Men's bathroom doesn't have door.

A huge space offering Foosball, ping pong, billards, live jazz (!) and lots and lots of PBR (amongst many other kinds of beer). Get there early (on weekends) and commandeer a couch/corner. Read more

The vibe is amazing! The live jazz music was great. We played Pool, Ping Pong and Chess while having beers. The bartender was a tad rude but whatever. We always have a blast!

Fat Cat boasts the best basement playground in the city. When you're done with pool, you can belly up to the bar, or dominate a Ping-Pong table, or crash on the many thrift-store couches.

Great place, with affordable drinks, young crowd and usually good music. I always take my guests here and they love it. If you have the chance to see the "Gospel Queens" do it!

The co-existence of a concert venue and pool hall is nice on paper, not in reality. You really have to love the music and be able to ignore all the others not listening to it at all.

A true mix! Jazz, beer, pool tables, air hockey, Scrabble, and a large crowd. The perfect place to unwind in an underground setting. Get there early to catch a seat!

Play ping pong for a pretty cheap price. Live music is also a nice touch. Or, if you're in the mood to play chess, this is the place to be. Fun for small or large groups.

Really nice chilled out place to drink some beer and play shuffle board, ping pong and pool or just sit around and listen to some fairly good jazz music.

Most impolite and rude people I ever had not only in New York but in my whole life. Customers were really relaxed but with such hosts I just left after 15 min. Just go somewhere else...
  • Anthony P.
It can get a little bro-y but it's a fun place if you're with a larger group or entertaining people out of town. Great music, too. Bring cash.

The quintessential dive NYC pool room. No-frills, quite spacious, and a great hangout. Plenty of alcohol flowing with table service. Ping-pong in the back. No TVs.

Take it easy man...you know that the Dude abides and so should you. Have a sit and a nice cold beer. Listen to some music sitting in an old and dusty couch and watch people play pool or foosball.

How describe this place ? It's a parallel time place you though that didn't exist anymore. You'll find : live jazzfoosball, billards, boardgames, and hipsters from all the previous decades mingling.

unfortunately my friends and I had a bad experience here about timing. citing the website we explained our expectation and the managers rudely responded "oh we don't use that", as a scapegoat.

For the serious ping pong heads: ask for table 1, 2, or 4 for the most space and best setup. Table 3 isn't even a real ping pong table. The rest are ok.

Great for sipping wine and quietly playing scrabble or pounding beers and getting rowdy over a game of ping pong. Also, it's easy on the wallet!

The table tennis tables are high quality, the nets are mediocre. There are some legit paddles to borrow: sticky enough for all your crazy spin serves.

I have been here twice and both times I was egregiously overcharged. And each time, the bartenders were very confrontational, accusing me of lying. This place is a joke. Don't go.
