Comfort food, home cooking, serving & celebrating the best traditional American food in New York City since 1981. Lunch, Dinner, plus All day Breakfast!
definitely go for the lumber jack
Some damn good eggs.
Everything is Great but the thick cut bacon is a must have.
breakfast was really good and i liked the atmosphere
Go for the Lumber Jack. You won't need anything else!
The breakfast is delicious - although not wait-in-line-for-45minutes delicious? Go some weekday morning for all of the tastiness and none of the crowds.
Nice drink selections but the food was just Meh...
Wasn't impressed. Line was long, eggs were undercooked, food was mediocre, service was slow. Grab brunch elsewhere- you'll get the same dishes, only better.
Brilliant breakfast offerings like migas and inventive omelets - try and avoid the crowds and head here early.
One of the best breakfast spots on the UWS.
Ate there twice during our trip to NYC - food is really good, biu the portions are too huge - it might be good idea to share if u r not used to eat big heavy b-fasts.
Breakfast for days.
The name says it all. That's about it.
Oh the line but a little piece of heaven inside. Have the Pancakes with Strawberry butter. Bloody Mary to cure your ills.
Don't miss the delicious strawberry butter and the thick, sugar cured bacon.
The michelada was tasty. Got some kind of Mexican inspired dish and it was good but not great.
I like the migas!
Bloody's are great. Get extra blue cheese olives. Pumpkin French Toast is the best thing to eat.
I love this place
We stayed in line to get in around 40 minutes. But it was worth it as we had the best breakfast ever. We went there twice and I will definitely go again on my next visit to NYC!
For the love of God. Order some bacon. Amazing breakfast food. Everything fresh and delicious.
The biscuits with strawberry butter are amazing! Also, the BLT omelet is really good.
Good place for a good hearty breakfast
Four grains pancake with strawberry butter, maple syrup, eggs and bacon. It's great sitting in the bar
A lot of cows.
Overall the food is good, but the biscuits are kinda lame and def not from scratch. Fine if they come with your order, but don't pay for them separately like I did
Try the Lumber Jill and add a side of grits, corn beef hash and biscuits for a hearty breakfast. They have the best bacon and corn beef hash around.
My omlette was just okay, but the biscuit and strawberry butter? Worth their own meal.
They were out of a lot of things... Limited vegetarian options.
Had high expectations because of all of the good reviews but was really disappointed. The pancakes were very neutral in taste and carelessly arranged. Coffee was almost cold. Not recommendable.
Great place to Eat.
My Belgian waffles with my oh so heavenly strawberry butter is so delicious!!
Endurance challenge: order hot coffee and finish it on a mid summer day at this table.
Basically just put strawberry butter on everything.
Great neighborhood place. Love the new location!
Also, if you come as late as we came 9:15 pm, be ready for them to be out of multiple items on the menu. We still loved the ambiance and decor, and food too (a bit).
Ordered the tuna melt, and the veggie burger + onion rings & corn bread. Tuna melt & veggie burger were a bit on the bland side. The corn bread on the other hand was one of the best we've ever had!
One of the good breakfast spots in NYC.
Strawberry butter. On EVERYTHING.
I got the hole in bread or something. It was good, but I wish I ordered something else. The pink lemonade cocktail was strong and worth the $12. I'll be back.
My favorite breakfast in NY! Bacon waffles FTW! ❤️
Turkey hash😍. You must try it!!!!
The brunch line is eternal while they are slow at clearing tables.
I know this is nothing new or unusual for a NYC restaurant, but I definitely just saw a mouse scurry across the floor.
Not the same as it used to be.
Difficult to rationalize coming back. From no menus, to wobbly table, to dirty coffee mugs, empty sugar bowl, wrong orders. Get a new savory chef as well.
Bacon and waffles together at last!
