bring your friend, see the bands, try our beer
Unique space, cool light installation
<333 thank you Glasslands
Try dangling your legs off the balcony 😲
Come quick! Closing at end of year!
Great space with a loft. One of the better NYC music venues.
Balcony up top is cool. Awesome lights
Too bad this place is closing. Great space for claustrophobic shows.
Live music. Bands before they get famous and charge $70 for tickets.
Best place to find indie rock bands
Dance, dance, it's a revolution!
Sit up on the balcony if your legs are tired from watching each of the five million bands they booked.
Best venue in NY. Consistently book talented up and coming acts. Unpretentious, casual, not a bad seat in the house. Cash only bar, solid selection of booze and beer.
Very small, intimate venue with indie lineups. Loud and fun on the floor. Great view of the stage from the balcony.
They throw Robyn dance parties. This place gets me.
If it's a chill show, it's highly likely people on the balcony will remain sitting for the entire show. Arrive early and you might even snag the highly coveted couch
We miss the clouds on the ceiling :( Still a great place to see bands up close that you normally wouldn't. Cheap drinks, fun times.
Dance Cartel hosts the best parties here
Besides possibly being Brooklyn's best small venue, its also the loudest. They sell earplugs at the bar for $2. Cash only!
Apart from its like-kind neighbor (285 Kent), the best place in Brooklyn for an intimate show with great bands. Grab a cheap tallboy at the bar and \m/
A South Williamsburg staple since 2006, Glasslands is a converted warehouse where partiers enjoy live music and a photobooth.
New indie rock bands!
After remodel, the toilets are still a travesty of modern sanitation, only less so. If you're a female, just pee in the gutter, you'll feel cleaner.
so many good shows at this venue. always great lineups.
Newly renovated bathrooms! If you never used the old ones, you never lived. You also probably never contracted HIV.
Awesome venue, but the bathroom is terrifying. Unisex, small, dirty and crowded. Make sure you're ok to tear yourself away from the music and have some awkward encounters before you venture in.
Rami loves random hugs from strangers
You're in Williamsburg, nowhere else.
The floor is sticky. Your hands are cleaner if you don't touch the sink.
One of my favorite places to go check new bands. Check their site before going, as some events require a ticket and get sold out (specially on Fridays)
upstairs is really cool during a crowded show.
If you're the mayor here, you get free drinks for the night!
Try the negroni :-D
"Another smelly music venue in the heart of PBR city. It's a cool place with good views of the stage from all around. A trip to the photo booth after midnight is mandatory." -New Cassettes
The best views in the house are from a small section upstairs.
Now that 285 next door is also booking indie bands, some say this venue has mellowed a bit. We say the more, the merrier. Definitely worth going out of your way for. Loud music/Cheap beers/friendly
Glasslands continues to thrive despite looming condos sprouting up around the space. "Cosy" doesn't even begin to describe this venue, where the decor is glorious and ever-changing.
Great spot to see indie rock and new bands
If you arrive late, head upstairs. The sound is fantastic and the rail has one of the best viewing spots in the city.
Worst bouncer ever
An anything goes club; home to after parties and some of the hottest secret shows in the city.
Look up. The pink clouds are straight out of Katy Perry's teenage dream. Also, don't mention Katy Perry whilst inside.
The upstairs balcony banister is a good place to stash your coats...
Don't see bad bands. Don't let dumb, drunk NYU kids ruin the show for you.
